Tabligh Akbar is a large-scale Qur'anic recitation event or mass religious meeting [1] held throughout the Indonesian archipelago. The event often accompanies khutbah (sermon), preaching, and dawah (proselytizing). The scale of Tabligh Akbar can vary, from the local level which fits within the local mosques, to the national level which rallies thousands of participants. Tabligh Akbar of the latter kind often disseminate their information widely throughout the social media and performed in a national level mosques or stadiums. [2]

Al-Akbar Mosque, also known as Great Mosque of Surabaya, is a national mosque located in Surabaya, East Java. It is the second largest mosque in Indonesia after Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta in terms of maximum capacity. The location of the mosque is beside the Surabaya-Porong Highway Road. Jefri Al Buchori, colloquially known as Ustadz Uje, was an Indonesian Islamic preacher, da'i, singer, and actor. He was known as an Islamic preacher with young and charismatic charm and who frequently appeared on pop culture scene.

Abdul Somad Indonesian ulama

Abdul Somad Batubara is an Indonesian Islamic preacher and ulama from Asahan, North Sumatra. He is known for his lectures on various religious issues, especially regarding hadith studies and Islamic jurisprudence. In addition, he often discusses trending topics in the Muslim community and society, such as nationalism. His dawah and lectures are characterized by unique rhetoric and humor that attract layman as well, and often broadcast through the YouTube channel and other social media. Tausiyah or tausiah is a term used among the Muslim community in Indonesia, referring to the broadcast of dawah (proselytizing) which is conducted informally. Tausiyah is distinguished from regular khutbah (sermon) which has more serious tone, or Tabligh Akbar which can be attended by thousands of participants.

Abdullah Ahmad was an Islamic cleric (ulama) and reformist hailed from Padang Panjang, West Sumatra. He is a founder of Islamic mass organization based in West Sumatra, Sumatera Thawalib. He also founded the Islamic magazine Al-Munir, the first Islamic mass media in the Indonesian archipelago. Together with Abdul Karim Amrullah, he became one of the first Indonesians who received the honorable degree from Al-Azhar University in Cairo.

Iqro is a textbook used in Indonesia and Malaysia for learning Arabic letters and pronunciation. It was originally published in early 1990s, authored by As'ad Humam and a team known as "Team Tadarus AMM". Iqro is a stepping-stone for reading the Quran in its original Arabic, given that these countries do not use Arabic outside religious contexts.

Majelis Rasulullah is an Islamic religious organization specialized in collective dhikr based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The organization was established by the charismatic Muslim leader Munzir Al-Musawa in 1998. Majelis Rasulullah is known for organizing dhikr events with a large number of attendees, typically tens of thousands to sometimes hundreds of thousands. It is currently the largest dhikr organization in Jakarta.
