Taxonomy

This species was described in 1985 by Ray Forster and Norman Platnick from male and female specimens collected in the Catlins. The holotype is stored in Otago Museum. [1]

Description

The male is recorded at 2.52mm in length whereas the female is 2.60mm. The abdomen is patterned dorsally. [1]

Distribution

This species is only known from Tautuku in Otago, New Zealand. [1]

Conservation status

Under the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Data Deficient" with the qualifiers of "Data Poor: Size", "Data Poor: Trend" and "One Location". [2]
