"Tempo" is a song by Polish singer Margaret. It was written by Anderz Wrethov, Jimmy Jansson, Laurell Barker and Sebastian von Koenigsegg. [1] The song was released on 9 February 2019 by Powerhouse and Warner Music.
On 27 November 2018, Swedish broadcaster Sveriges Television (SVT) announced that Margaret was one of the artists taking part in Melodifestivalen 2019 , Sweden's national selection for Eurovision Song Contest 2019, with "Tempo". [1] She placed fifth in the second semi-final of the competition which took place on 9 February 2019 in Malmö Arena, and was subsequently eliminated. [1] [2] The single charted in the top 10 in Poland and in the top 50 in Sweden.
Live recording of "Tempo" from Margaret's MTV Unplugged concert special was released on its accompanying live album in 2023. [3]
"Tempo" has two music videos labelled "Up" and "Down" which make one music video when put together on two separate mobile devices with the device on top playing the "Up" version of the video and the device below playing the "Down" version at the same time. Both versions, directed by Maciej Bieliński, were released on 25 April 2019. [4]

Sweden has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 62 times since making its debut in 1958, missing only three contests since then. Since 1959, the Swedish entry has been chosen through an annual televised competition, known since 1967 as Melodifestivalen. At the 1997 contest, Sweden was one of the first five countries to adopt televoting. Sweden has hosted the contest six times: three times in Stockholm, twice in Malmö and once in Gothenburg (1985); and is set to host for a seventh time in 2024 in Malmö.
Arvingarna is a Swedish dansband formed in Gothenburg in 1989. The group consists of Casper Janebrink, Lars Larsson, Kim Carlsson and Tommy Carlsson. At Melodifestivalen 1993, they performed the song '"Eloise", which won, allowing Arvingarna to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest in Millstreet Co.Cork in May that year, where the song finished 7th.
Molly My Marianne Sandén, also known by her middle name My Marianne, is a Swedish pop singer and voice actress. As a teenager, she represented Sweden in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 and participated in Melodifestivalen in 2009, 2012, and 2016. Her sisters Frida and Mimmi are also singers. In 2018, Sandén released her third studio album, Större. Her fourth studio album was released in early 2019, called Det bästa kanske inte hänt än.
Anna Henrietta Bergendahl is a Swedish singer and songwriter. She took part in Swedish TV4 music program Super Troupers in 2004, and in Idol 2008 where she reached the Final 5 before being eliminated.
Lina Maria Hedlund is a Swedish singer and member of the pop group Alcazar. She also has a solo career.

Lisa Kristina Ajax is a Swedish singer. Ajax began her career after winning Idol 2014, and is also known for her four Melodifestivalen participations, having qualified to the final on three occasions.
Dolly Style is a Swedish girl group. The group was created by Emma Nors and Palle Hammarlund and features three girls that call themselves Molly, Holly and Polly. The trio claims to originate from a "dollhouse in Dollyville". The group is inspired by the kawaii aesthetic from Japanese subcultures, such as fairy kei, gyaru and lolita. Karlsson participated as a contestant on Idol 2016, ending up in second place during the 8 December final in Globen. She competed in Melodifestivalen 2019 with the song "Who I Am" and made it to the Second Chance Round.
The Mamas are a Swedish-American soul and gospel group. They won Melodifestivalen 2020 with their single "Move", which reached number one in Sweden in March 2020.

The song won Melodifestivalen with 137 points and was to represent Sweden in the first semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam, before the contest was cancelled in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It peaked at number one on the Swedish singles chart.
