Santa María Chilapa de Diaz Municipality and town in Oaxaca, Mexico

Santa María Chilapa de Diaz is a town and municipality in Oaxaca in south-western Mexico. It is part of the Teposcolula District in the center of the Mixteca Region. The name Chilapa means "Water from chiles".

La Trinidad Vista Hermosa Municipality and town in Oaxaca, Mexico

La Trinidad Vista Hermosa is a town and municipality in Oaxaca in south-western Mexico. The municipality covers an area of 31.9 km². It is part of the Teposcolula District in the center of the Mixteca Region. This municipality is located at the north east part of the state, at 2,160 meters above the sea level height. Its limits are: north with Santa Magdalena Jicotlán and south with San Antonio Acut. It has a three inches stream of water. From this stream was built a dam to irrigate benefiting the citizens of the community. The weather is usually cold and dry. The municipality has a single natural resource, stone used in foundations. As of 2005, the municipality had a total population of 235.

San Andrés Lagunas Municipality and town in Oaxaca, Mexico

San Andrés Lagunas is a town and municipality in Oaxaca in south-western Mexico. The municipality covers an area of 100.8 km². It is part of the Teposcolula District in the center of the Mixteca Region. It was named San andres laguna en honor al santo patron "san andres" y "lagunas" debido a que cuenta con 3 lagunas, laguna grande, laguna de Nuu chita, laguna. This municipality was founded in 1520 which was the time in which Mexico was a colony. Here the environment is fairly humid and as for the result it has different types of flora and fauna. This place has many hills along the territory forming a mountain range alongside, but it lacks rivers. As of 2005, the municipality had a total population of 528. Most of which are Catholic. Principal economic activities include agriculture, fishing, mining, forestry and tourism. There are also people dedicated to the production of mezcal which is the fermentation of maguey plant.
