ThaiJet was an international passenger charter airline based in Bangkok, Thailand. Its main base was Don Mueang International Airport (then known as Bangkok International Airport).

History

ThaiJet was established in 2003 and started operations on December 15, 2003. It operated international charter flights from Bangkok and Phuket, but these ceased in May 2004 pending re-financing.

In March 2006, Thailand's Civil Aviation Department said it was withdrawing the failed airline's license.

Services

International scheduled destinations were Berlin, Frankfurt, Malé, Seoul, Sharjah, Warsaw and Zhengzhou.

Fleet

ThaiJet operated two Boeing 757-200s, delivered in December 2003, but they were disposed of by mid-2004. [1]

It was owned and managed by Orient Thai Airlines and CEO Udom Tantiprasongchai and his wife Nina Tantiprasongchai. The One-Two-Go brand was retired in July 2010, after the crash of flight OG 269 in September 2007 was blamed substantially on misconduct by the airline, with the aircraft re-branded under Orient Thai Airlines. On 9 October 2018, Orient Thai Airlines ceased all operations.

Thai AirAsia is a Thai low-cost airline. It is a joint venture of the Malaysian AirAsia and Thailand's Asia Aviation. It serves AirAsia's regularly scheduled domestic and international flights from Bangkok and other cities in Thailand.

Phuket Air was an airline based in Bangkok, Thailand. The airline specialised in leasing its fleet of Boeing 747 and 737 aircraft on an ACMI as well as wet lease basis to airlines worldwide needing extra passenger capacity. Other services provided included international charter services, ad hoc wet leasing services, religious pilgrimage charters (Hajj/Umrah) and dry lease services. Saudia was a major long term client of Phuket Air. In the past, the airline provided scheduled domestic and international air services. Its main base was at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok, with a hub at Phuket International Airport, Phuket. Thai Pacific Airlines was a short-lived airline based in Thailand that founded in August 2003 and ceased all of its operations in July 2004.

As of September 2016, Kan Air flew nine routes. Flights from Chiang Mai were to Mae Hong Son, Pai, Nan, Khon Kaen, Ubon Ratchathani, Phitsanulok, Hua Hin, Chiang Rai, and U-Tapao. On 21 April 2017, Kan Air suspended all of its operations.
