"House of Love" is a song by American drag queen, singer and songwriter RuPaul, released in 1993 by Tommy Boy Records as the singer's third major-label single, and fifth single overall from his debut album, Supermodel of the World (1993). The song did not chart in the US as it was previously released as a Double A-Side to the 1992 single "Supermodel ". It did however reach the Top 40 in the UK.
"Too Much Information" is a song by English rock band Duran Duran, released in August 1993 by Parlophone and Capitol as the third single from their seventh studio album, Duran Duran (1993). In the United Kingdom, it became the band's third top-40 single from the album, while in North America, it peaked at numbers 45 and 41 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and Cash Box Top 100, and number 26 in Canada. The accompanying music video for "Too Much Information" was filmed by British director Julien Temple in Santa Monica on 27 August and featured the elaborate stage setup designed for the band's 1993 Dilate Your Mind tour.
"This Is It" is a 1976 disco song written by Van McCoy, and performed by American singer and actress Melba Moore for her fifth album of the same name (1976).
"Get into You" is a song written by Mike Percy and Tim Lever for Australian singer, songwriter and actress Dannii Minogue's second album, Get into You (1993). It was produced by Lever & Percy and received a mixed reception from music critics. Released as the fifth single in the second quarter of 1994, it reached the top forty in the United Kingdom. Along with the single "This Is It", the song was chosen to be released in Canada and the US.
"We Are Family" is a song recorded by American vocal group Sister Sledge. Composed by Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers, they both offered the song to Atlantic Records; although the record label initially declined, the track was released in April 1979 as a single from the album of the same name (1979) and began to gain club and radio play, eventually becoming the group's signature song.
"Give In to Me" is a song by American singer-songwriter Michael Jackson, released as the seventh single from his eighth studio album, Dangerous (1991). Released in February 1993 by Epic Records, the song peaked at number one in New Zealand for four consecutive weeks and at number two on the UK Singles Chart. The track was written and produced by Jackson and Bill Bottrell, and features Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash. Several critics wrote that the song has an aggressive sexual flavor. It was released in Europe, Australia and New Zealand only. The single release's B-sides include the album versions of "Dirty Diana" and "Beat It".
"Feel Like Makin' Love" is a song by English supergroup Bad Company. The power ballad originally appeared on their second LP, Straight Shooter (1975), and was released as a single in June of the same year by Swan Song Records. It was named the 78th best hard rock song of all time by VH1.
"Lost in Music" is a song by American vocal group Sister Sledge, released in July 1979 as the third single from their third studio album, We Are Family (1979), an album entirely written, produced, and arranged by Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards. The "intoxicating" song was a no. 35 hit on the American R&B charts. In 1984 and 1993, "Lost in Music" was re-released in new remixes.
"This Time" is a song by British singer-songwriter Dina Carroll, released on 15 February 1993 by A&M Records as the fourth single from her debut album, So Close (1993). The song was written by Carroll with Nigel Lowis, who also produced it. It features strings by the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, peaking at number 23 on the UK Singles Chart and number 78 on the Eurochart Hot 100. The music video for the song was directed by Michael Geoghegan.
"Because of You" is a song by English singer-songwriter Gabrielle. It was written by Gabrielle, George McFarlane, and Raymond St. John and produced by McFarlane for her debut studio album, Find Your Way (1993). Released as the album's fourth single on 14 February 1994, "Because of You" peaked at number 24 on the UK Singles Chart.
"So Good" is a song by English R&B girl group Eternal, released on 8 August 1994 as the fourth single from their debut album, Always & Forever (1993). It was their first single to miss the UK Singles Chart top 10, peaking at No. 13 on 21 August 1994.
"Bumped" is a song by English pop group Right Said Fred, released in October 1993 by EMI as the first single off their album, Sex and Travel (1993). The song, both written and produced by the group, was notable for its commercial underperformance considering the group's previous success; in August 2001, ex-manager Guy Holmes noted on the BBC retrospective documentary I Love 1991 that over £100,000 was spent on the Wayne Isham-directed music video to make up for the fact that "the record wasn't really very good".
"Beyond Your Wildest Dreams" is a ballad written by British hitmaking team Stock Aitken & Waterman, which was recorded by three of their artists, Lonnie Gordon, Sybil, and Nancy Davis. The songwriters have cited this song as one of the best they ever wrote, and were dissatisfied with its poor chart performance. Gordon and Sybil's versions were released as singles in 1990 and 1993.
"Soon Be Done" is a song by Jamaican reggae artist Shaggy, released in June 1993 by Virgin and Greensleeves Records as the third single from the artist's first studio album, Pure Pleasure (1993). The song peaked at #39 on the UK Singles Chart, six places higher than "Nice and Lovely". It was only released in the United Kingdom and Europe.
"How Can I Love You More" is a song by British band M People, released as the first single from their debut album, Northern Soul (1991). The song was written by band members Mike Pickering and Paul Heard, and produced by M People. It was first released in October 1991 by Deconstruction Records, peaking at number 29 on the UK Singles Chart. Then it was re-released on 25 January 1993 by same label with several new remixes, this time becoming a bigger hit, peaking at number eight on the UK Singles Chart.
"So Natural" is a song by British singer, songwriter and actress Lisa Stansfield from her third album, So Natural (1993). It was released as the first proper single in the United Kingdom on 11 October 1993 by Arista Records. The song was written by Stansfield and her husband Ian Devaney, and produced by Devaney. It received remixes by Roger Sanchez, DJ Duro, Frankie Foncett and Vassal Benford. The single peaked at number fifteen on the UK Singles Chart. Its music video was directed by Marcus Nispel.
"Peace in Our Time" is a song written by English songwriters Andy Hill and Peter Sinfield, first recorded by American singer and actress Jennifer Holliday for the 1988 Summer Olympics album One Moment in Time. The song was later covered by American rock singer Eddie Money and English singer Cliff Richard.
"When I'm Good and Ready" is a song by American R&B and pop singer-songwriter Sybil, released on March 8, 1993 by PWL International and FFRR, as the first single from her fifth album, Good 'N' Ready (1993). Written and produced by Stock/Waterman, it also features backing vocals by Mae McKenna, Stock and Miriam Stockley. It went on to become one of her most successful songs and a major hit on the charts in Europe, reaching the top 10 in the UK and Ireland, and was a top-20 hit in Austria and a top-50 hit in Germany. In 1997, "When I'm Good and Ready" was re-released in a new remix by UK remix, production and songwriting team Love to Infinity, which achieved a moderate success on the national chart.
"Express" is a song by British singer and songwriter Dina Carroll, released in May 1993 by A&M Records as the fifth single from her first album, So Close (1993). The song, co written by Carroll with its producer, Nigel Lowis, was a chart success in the UK, peaking at number 12 on the UK Singles Chart. On the Eurochart Hot 100, it peaked at number 44 in June 1993.
"What I Do Best" is a song by American singer Robin S., released in November 1993 as the third single from her debut album, Show Me Love (1993). It is written by Frank Wildhorn and Jack Murphy, and produced by Nick Martinelli. A moderate hit in Europe, it reached the top 30 in the Netherlands, peaking at number 21. Additionally, it was a top 40 hit in Belgium and a top 50 hit in the UK. The single release featured remixes of "Show Me Love".
