The second season of The Masked Singer Australia was renewed in October 2019 [3] and premiered on Monday, 10 August 2020. [4] [5] [6] Osher Günsberg returned as the show's host. [7] [8] In the Grand Finale on 14 September 2020, Bonnie Anderson (as “Bushranger”) was crowned as the winner, Kate Miller-Heidke (as “Queen”) was the runner-up, and Eddie Perfect (as “Frillneck”) placed third. [9]
The costumes were designed and created by Australian Academy Award and BAFTA Award-Winning costume designer Tim Chappel, who is best known for his work on The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert with Lizzy Gardiner. [10] [11]
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the in studio audience consisted of socially-distanced production staff wearing costumes. [12] [13] Additionally, a small number of Australian viewers that were selected to act as a virtual audience. The virtual audience streamed the live performances online while the show was produced and voted for their favourite character's performances. The performer with the fewest votes by the virtual audience was unmasked in each episode. For confidentiality, the virtual audience did not witness the elimination's result or the unmasking of the performers. [14]
Production of The Masked Singer was suspended on 22 August 2020 after a crew member tested positive to COVID-19, with 16 confirmed cases connected to the show. [15] All production staff, judges and singers were placed in self-isolation. [16] [17] [18] All episodes of the show except for the grand finale had been filmed prior to the production's suspension, with the finale having been scheduled to film within hours of the shut down. [18] [19]
Lindsay Lohan did not return to the judging panel due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Australia's travel restrictions. [8] She was replaced by a new panellist, comedian Urzila Carlson. [1] [2]
The returning judging panel consisted of radio personality Jackie O, singer-songwriter Dannii Minogue and comedian Dave Hughes. [8] Osher Günsberg returned to host the show. [8]
In the second season, there were 12 contestants who competed in the competition. [5] [6] Before the season began, Network Ten revealed that the cast included Hollywood actors, a "big name" from an Emmy Award winning television series, Logie Award winners, chart-toppers and a triple Olympian who is a top 10 world-ranked athlete. They further revealed the cast amassing a combined 22 platinum records, 11 gold records, 13 ARIA Awards and two World Cups. [12]

The Amazing Race Australia 4 is the fourth season of The Amazing Race Australia, an Australian reality competition show based on the American series The Amazing Race. This season was the first to air on Network 10 after moving from Seven Network and was hosted by former rugby league footballer Beau Ryan, who replaced Grant Bowler. It featured eleven teams of two, each with a pre-existing relationship, in a race around the world to win the grand prize of A$250,000 during twelve legs. This season visited three continents and eight countries and travelled over 45,000 kilometres (28,000 mi). Starting in Seoul, racers travelled through South Korea, Vietnam, Mongolia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi and Thailand before returning to Australia and finishing in Nitmiluk National Park. A new twist introduced in this season was an international start. The season premiered on Monday, 28 October 2019, with the show airing on Mondays and Tuesdays in the 7:30 p.m. timeslot on Network 10, and concluded on 3 December 2019.

The fourth season of The Masked Singer Australia was announced in October 2021 and premiered on Network 10 on 7 August 2022. In the Grand Finale on 28 August 2022, The winner was revealed to be Melody Thornton as “Mirrorball”, the runner-up was Sheldon Riley as “Snapdragon”, and third place was Hugh Sheridan as “Rooster”.
The fifth and final season of The Masked Singer Australia was announced in February 2023 and premiered on Network 10 on 11 September 2023.
