The Pre-Fix for Death is the third studio album by American horrorcore musician Necro. It was released on September 21, 2004 through Psycho+Logical-Records. Production was handled by Necro himself, who also served as executive producer. It features guest appearances from Jamey Jasta, John Tardy, Danny Diablo, Goretex, Ill Bill, Jenny Cassabian, Jenny Krenwinkle, Mr. Hyde, Sabac Red, as well as contributions from Away, Sean Martin, Dan Lilker, Trevor Peres and Sid Wilson.
The instrumental version of the album omitted all the seven skits out of original 25-track album and was released on June 20, 2005 via Psycho+Logical.
Unlike his previous albums, The Pre-Fix for Death sees Necro fusing death metal into several of the album's tracks. [2] It is also the first album to feature live instrumentation by Necro himself. [3] [4]
Music videos were filmed for "The Pre-fix for Death", directed by David Brodsky, [5] and "Beautiful Music for You to Die To". [6] Necro's fifth studio album, Death Rap , would be released in 2007 and would be named after the nineteenth track off this album.

Non Phixion is an American hip-hop group from Brooklyn, New York City. Though the group did not become a household name during their initial period of activity, the Village Voice said Non Phixion was "integral to the timeline of underground hip-hop." The group endured a series of missed opportunities on their way to their only LP release and broke up after their first decade. In the months leading up to the 20th anniversary of their formation, the group reunited and as of 2021 was still active and touring. Their logo is a direct nod to the Canadian metal band Voivod.
William Braunstein, professionally known by his stage name Ill Bill, is an American rapper and record producer from Brooklyn, New York City. Having gained fame in the underground hip hop group Non Phixion, Ill Bill is known for his diverse lyrics and as the producer, founder and CEO of Uncle Howie Records. His brother Ron is rapper and producer Necro.
Ron Raphael Braunstein, professionally known by his stage name Necro, is an American rapper and record producer from New York City. The Rise of Brutality is the third studio album by American metalcore band Hatebreed. It was released on October 28, 2003 by Universal Records.
"Scarface (Push It to the Limit)" is a song written by Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte and performed by American singer Paul Engemann. It appeared on the soundtrack for the 1983 motion picture Scarface. The song appears in the film in the montage sequence that demonstrates Tony Montana's rise in wealth and position after he kills Frank Lopez (Robert Loggia) and takes over as the head cocaine trafficker in Miami. In the film, the song appeared in a slightly longer version, featuring a guitar solo during the instrumental break. This version was eventually released on a 12-inch single LP with the guitar solo included.
Gory Days is the second studio album by American rapper and record producer Necro. It was released on November 13, 2001, via Psycho+Logical-Records. Recording sessions took place at Fast Forward Studios in New York. Production was handled entirely by Necro himself, who also served as an executive producer. It features guest appearances from Ill Bill, Captain Carnage, Goretex, Mr. Hyde and The Kid Joe. The album spawned two singles: "Morbid" b/w "Empty The Clip" and "Bury You With Satan" b/w "World Gone Mad". A music video was shot for "Dead Body Disposal" starring Peter Greene.

Icepick is an American metalcore band formed in 1996. It serves as a side project to Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed, Danny Diablo, and other musicians of the hardcore punk and hip hop scenes. Although founded in 1996, Icepick remained virtually stagnant until the song "Born to Crush You" appeared on UFC: Ultimate Beat Downs, Vol. 1 in August 2004. Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski frequently uses their song "Onward to Victory" as his entrance music for fights.

Pre-orders of the album were shipped with a limited edition bonus DVD that contained an unreleased music video and six live performances. Like his last album, Necro chose not to place a parental advisory sticker on the cover.

The album spawned one single, "The Most Sadistic", and a music video for the title track.
