She was Chairman and Professor of the Department of Plant Biology at the University of Brasília, and published the three-volume Sistemática de Angiospermas do Brasil.

Grazielanthus is a monotypic genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Monimiaceae. The only species is Grazielanthus arkeocarpus.
