Tomas Brenning (born 1967 in Stockholm, Sweden) is a Swedish bridge player, journalist and computer programmer. Even though he has won a bronze medal in the 1994 Rosenblum Cup world championship, Brenning is better known as the creator of the bridge scoring software used by several bridge federations in Europe and for scoring the world championships of bridge. Brenning possesses the title of World Bridge Federation World International Master.

Håkan Per Loob is a Swedish former professional ice hockey player for Färjestad BK of the Elitserien and the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League (NHL). He is the head of European Scouting for the Calgary Flames after resigning as president of Hockey Operations for Färjestad. Considered one of the greatest Swedish hockey players of all time, he was inducted into the International Ice Hockey Federation Hall of Fame in 1998 and the Swedish ice hockey Hall of Fame in 2012. The Elitserien created the Håkan Loob Trophy, awarded to the league's top goal scorer, in his honour in 2005 and Färjestad has retired his jersey number 5.

Entries formally represent WBF Zones as well as nations so it is also known as the "World Zonal Women Team Championship", one of three "World Zonal Team Championships". It was first contested in 1974, as one long match between two teams, and has been concurrent with the Bermuda Bowl from 1985.

Rudolf "Putte" Kock was a Swedish football, ice hockey and bridge player who won a bronze medal in the 1924 Summer Olympics as a football player, being voted the best left winger after the tournament. He also made six caps for the Swedish ice hockey team, including the Ice Hockey European Championship 1922, and scored five goals.

Karl Johan Marcus Vinnerborg is a Swedish professional ice hockey referee, currently working in the Swedish Hockey League—Sweden's premier ice hockey league—and with the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). Vinnerborg has won Guldpipan three times, awarded to the premier official in Elitserien as voted by the players. Vinnerborg has officiated at seven IIHF sanctioned events, among them four consecutive World Championships between 2006—2009, and at the 2010 Olympics. He has officiated the World Championship gold medal game twice, 2007 in Moscow and 2008 in Québec. In 2010, Vinnerborg made history when he became the first European referee to officiate in the National Hockey League (NHL).

Sven Tomas Johansson is a former Swedish badminton player. He competed at the 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympics in the men's singles event. Play for Västra Frölunda BMK, Johansson was two times men's singles National Champion in 1993 and 2000. Johansson was the men's singles silver medalist at the 1994 European Championships, also won the gold medal in the mixed team event.
