The Townsville District Rugby League (TDRL) is a rugby league football competition in Townsville, Queensland, Australia. The competition is run under the Queensland Rugby League, and features nine clubs, who contest a Premiership season across four senior men's and one senior women's grade from April until August. [1]

Representative Team

The local representative team in the Queensland Cup is the Townsville Blackhawks, who play at Jack Manski Oval. Junior squads are nicknamed the Townsville Stingers, which was also the name of the former representative team in the Queensland Cup. RLTD selects representative teams to compete in the yearly Foley Shield and Mal Meninga Cup (Under 18's) state league as the Townsville Stingers/Townsville Blackhawks. [2]

Townsville District Juniors

The Townsville & District Junior Rugby League (the Kangaroos) runs a ten club juniors competitions with grades ranging from under 6's to under 16's. [5] Townsville's juniors competed in the Cyril Connell Cup state league formerly as the Townsville Stingers, but now go by Mendi Townsville & Districts Blackhawks.

There are over 8000 registered players across 36 senior clubs and 39 junior clubs in this division. The Northern Division is responsible for the historic Foley Shield competition that is held each year. Mid West and Mount Isa play in the Toyota Outback Carnival.

NRL South Australia is a not-for-profit organisation responsible for administering the game of rugby league in the state of South Australia. It was formed on 28 July 1976 and is an affiliated state of the Australian Rugby League Commission.

The NZRL Bartercard Premiership was a six-team rugby league competition that ran in 2008 and 2009. It replaced the now-defunct Bartercard Cup competition as the highest level of rugby league in New Zealand. Matches have been broadcast on SKY Network Television and Māori Television. In 2009 the competition was mirrored by Under 18 and Under 16 grade competitions. The competition was replaced by the seven-team National Zonal Competition in 2010.

The Cairns District Rugby League was formed on 5 August 1918 and is the administrative body for the game of rugby league football in Cairns, Queensland. The CDRL runs senior, junior and women's club competitions and has its headquarters at Barlow Park. The competition changed its name to Far North Queensland Rugby League in 2023.

The side plays their home games at Jack Manski Oval.
