Transmission Festival (also known as Transmission) is a large indoor trance music event originally based in Prague, Czech Republic [1] at the O2 Arena. [2] In March 2014, the festival was held for the first time in Bratislava, Slovakia. [3] Leaving Europe's shores for the first time, in July 2016 the festival was held in Melbourne, Australia. [4] In March 2017 the festival extended further by visiting Bangkok, Thailand [5] and returned to Melbourne, Australia in September. In 2018, the festival returned to Bangkok, Thailand, [6] hosted two days at Germany's AirBeat One Festival [7] near Neustadt-Glewe, and debuted in Shanghai [8] for its first edition in China. In March 2019, the festival returned to Australia to Sydney Showground. In October 2022, the festival debuted in Gdańsk, Poland at the Ergo Arena where it would return the following year for a second edition.
It is famous for its spectacular laser show. Markus Schulz frequently headlines the festival around the world. [9]

Trance is a genre of electronic dance music that emerged from EBM in Frankfurt, Germany, in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and quickly spread throughout Europe.
Oakland Arena, often referred to as the Oakland Coliseum Arena, is an indoor arena located in Oakland, California, United States. From its opening in 1966 until 1996, It is often referred to as the Oakland Coliseum Arena as it is part of the Oakland–Alameda County Coliseum Complex with the adjacent Oakland Coliseum. Oakland Arena seats 19,596 fans for basketball.
Ferry Corsten OON is a Dutch DJ, record producer and remixer. He is well known for producing many pioneering trance tracks during the 1990s–2000s under his numerous aliases, including System F, Moonman, Pulp Victim and Gouryella. In recent years, he has shifted to a broader electronic music style, playing everything from progressive house to uplifting trance; and hosts his own weekly radio show, Resonation Radio. Corsten routinely plays at events and festivals all over the world including Electric Daisy Carnival, Tomorrowland, and many others, and has been consistently ranked among DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs poll, having placed at rank 5 in 2004 and 2005, 6 in 2006 and 2008; and most recently at 89 for 2023.

The Nine Emperor Gods Festival or Vegetarian Festival or Jay Festival is a nine-day Taoist celebration beginning on the eve of the ninth lunar month of the Chinese calendar, celebrated primarily in Southeast Asian countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Southern Thailand by the Peranakans community. In Thailand, this festival is called thetsakan kin che (เทศกาลกินเจ), the Vegetarian Festival. The Phuket Vegetarian Festival attracts crowds of spectators because of many of the unusual religious rituals that are performed. The Vegetarian Festival takes place at the same time as the Hindu festival Navaratri.

Eve Pancharoen, well known by her stage name Palmy, is a Thai pop singer who has recorded and released several albums including concert DVDs on the GMM Grammy label, beginning with her self-titled solo debut, Palmy, in 2001. Palmy has explored a variety of popular music styles on each of her four solo albums, and she has collaborated with the Thai ska band T-Bone to create experimental renditions of her hits Though her solo recording was Beautiful Ride in 2006, she has continued to perform live with T-Bone, and has appeared as a guest vocalist at other concerts and music festivals. She is primarily successful in Asia, especially Japan, Korea, Singapore and Thailand, but she has also performed in Australia and the United Kingdom. She is of Belgian, Mon and Thai descent. Palmy is known to perform and make public appearances barefoot; she even has a barefoot-themed concert.
The Shanghai Masters is an annual tennis tournament for male professional players held in Shanghai, China. It is played on outdoor hard courts at the Qizhong Forest Sports City Arena in the Minhang District, and is held in early October. The tournament is part of the nine ATP Tour Masters 1000 events on the ATP Tour, and is the only one not played in Europe or North America. The tournament was not held from 2020 to 2022 due to Chinese travel restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Road to Ultra (RTU) events are one day, single-stage events created and founded by the team behind the electronic dance music festival, Ultra Music Festival. Stage designs are also curated by the Ultra Worldwide team and are adapted to accommodate the needs of indoor and outdoor venues. RTU made its debut in 2012 in Seoul, Korea leading up to the second edition of Ultra Korea, which took place the following year. Since then, Road to Ultra events have landed in Thailand, Colombia, Peru, Macau, Japan, Taiwan, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, Bolivia, the Philippines, Singapore, Chile, and Hong Kong. As of 2017, new Road to Ultra events have taken place in India in September 2017, as well as Australia in February 2018.
