Travis Ganong (born July 14, 1988) is an American World Cup alpine ski racer and specializes in the speed events of downhill and super-G. Born and raised in Truckee, California, he competed for the U.S. at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, [1] and placed fifth in the downhill at Rosa Khutor, 0.41 seconds behind the winner. [2]
Ganong gained his first World Cup victory on December 2014 in a downhill in Santa Caterina, Italy. [3] At his third World Championships in 2015 at Beaver Creek, Colorado, he won the silver medal in the downhill. Ganong injured his right knee (ACL) in late December 2017 at Bormio and missed the rest of the season, including the 2018 Olympics. [4]
Ganong has been in a relationship with Canadian alpine racer Marie-Michèle Gagnon since 2008. [5] [6] The pair met through mutual friend Louis-Pierre Hélie. [7] In 2014, the couple moved to a new home in Lake Tahoe, California. [8] [9] They announced their engagement in September 2021.

Erik Guay is a Canadian former World Cup alpine ski racer. Racing out of Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, Guay won the World Cup season title in super-G in 2010 and was the world champion in downhill in 2011, as well as in the super-G in 2017. With 25 World Cup podiums, he is the career leader for Canada.
Aksel Lund Svindal is a Norwegian former World Cup alpine ski racer. Born in Lørenskog in Akershus county, Svindal is a two-time overall World Cup champion, an Olympic gold medalist in super-G at the 2010 Winter Olympics and in downhill at the 2018 Winter Olympics, and a five-time World Champion in downhill, giant slalom, and super combined. With his victory in the downhill in 2013, Svindal became the first male alpine racer to win titles in four consecutive world championships.
Jan Hudec Jr. is a Czech-Canadian alpine ski racer who previously represented Canada until 2016 and specializes in the speed events of downhill and super-G. Beset by injuries for several seasons, he returned to World Cup form in 2012 at age 30 and gained his second victory. At the 2014 Winter Olympics, Hudec won the bronze medal in the super-G at Rosa Khutor. It was the first Olympic medal for Canada in men's alpine skiing in 20 years.
Dominique Gisin is a retired World Cup alpine ski racer and Olympic gold medalist from Switzerland. She is the older sister of alpine ski racers Marc and Michelle Gisin.
Elena Fanchini was an Italian World Cup alpine ski racer. Born in Val Camonica, she focused on the speed events of downhill and super-G. Her younger sisters Nadia and Sabrina also raced on the Italian team.
