Garciaparra is one of 13 players in Major League history to hit two grand slams during a single game,and the only player to achieve the feat at his home stadium.

After his playing career ended,Simmons served as a coach for the Athletics and Cleveland Indians. A career .334 hitter,Simmons was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1953.
