Tukak Sadai is a district of South Bangka Regency, Bangka-Belitung Islands. The district is located in the southeastern section of Bangka Island, and contains the Sadai seaport.
Tukak Sadai was established on 14 December 2007, after being split off from the southeastern part of Toboali district.
The district is subdivided into five villages: Tukak, Sadai, Tiram, Pasir Putih and Bukit Terap. The administrative center located in the village of Tiram. [2] : 6
Most of the workforce in the district, totalling 4,176 people, is recorded as being employed in agriculture (2,166) or fishing (1,224). [2] : 44 There are six kindergartens, five elementary schools, two junior high schools, and one trade school in the district. [2] : 53 There are 86.65 km of roads in the district, of which 39.3 km were paved. [2] : 145
The Government of Indonesia has planned to develop an industrial zone in the district, to be named the Sadai Industrial Zone, with a planned investment of Rp 58 trillion (USD 4 billion). [3] By July 2020, two Chinese companies - glass manufacturer Xinyi Solar and Sinomach - have signed agreements to construct factories in Sadai. [4] The Port of Sadai, serving passengers crossing to Belitung, is located within the district. [5]
The Bangka Belitung Islands is a province of Indonesia. Situated off the southeastern coast of Sumatra, the province comprises two main land masses — the islands of Bangka and Belitung — and numerous smaller islands. Humbang Hasundutan Regency is a landlocked regency in North Sumatra province of Indonesia. In the east of the regency, Baktiraja District stretches along a short part of the southern shore of Lake Toba in North Sumatra. The regency covers an area of 2,502.71 km2, and it had a population of 171,650 at the 2010 census and 197,751 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 204,700. Its seat is the town of Dolok Sanggul. North Padang Lawas is a landlocked regency in the North Sumatra province of Indonesia. It has an area of 3,918.05 km2, and had a population of 223,049 at the 2010 census and 260,720 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as of mid-2023 was 275,448. North Padang Lawas Regency was created on 17 July 2007 from the eastern parts of the South Tapanuli Regency. Its administrative seat is the town of Gunung Tua.
