Michiel du Preez is a Namibian cricketer. He selected as part of Namibia's squad for the 2015 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier tournament replacing Zhivago Groenewald. In August 2018, he was included in Namibia's squad for the 2018 Africa T20 Cup, and was the leading run-scorer for Namibia in the tournament, with 164 runs in four matches.
Arnold Otwani is a Ugandan cricketer. He played one List A match in December 2010 for Uganda, during their tour of Kenya. He played for Uganda in the 2017 ICC World Cricket League Division Three tournament in May 2017.
Mauritius Ngupita is a Namibian cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Namibia in the 2017–18 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup on 8 February 2018. Prior to his first-class debut, he was named in Namibia's squad for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

Ronak Patel is a Ugandan cricketer. In July 2018, he was part of Uganda's squad in the Eastern sub region group for the 2018–19 ICC World Twenty20 Africa Qualifier tournament. In October 2018, he was named in Uganda's squad for the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Three tournament in Oman. He played in Uganda's opening fixture of the tournament, against Denmark on 9 November 2018.
The 2019 Victoria Tri-Series was a Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) cricket tournament held in Uganda in April 2019. The participating teams were the women's national sides of Uganda, Kenya and Zimbabwe. These were the first matches played by Kenya Women to have WT20I status after the International Cricket Council announced that all matches played between women's teams of Associate Members after 1 July 2018 would have full T20I status. The tournament provided all three teams with some preparation for the 2019 ICC Women's Qualifier Africa. Zimbabwe defeated Uganda in the final by 25 runs.
The 2022 Namibia Tri-Nation Series was the 17th round of the 2019–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 cricket tournament, took place in Namibia in November 2022. It was a tri-nation series between Namibia, Papua New Guinea and the United States cricket teams, with the matches played as One Day International (ODI) fixtures. The ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 formed part of the qualification pathway to the 2023 Cricket World Cup.
The Uganda cricket team toured Namibia in April 2021 to play a three-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series and two 50-over matches. All of the matches were played at the Wanderers Cricket Ground in Windhoek.
The 2021–22 Uganda Tri-Nation Series, also known as the Pearl of Africa T20I Series, was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament that was held in Uganda in September 2021. The participating teams were the hosts Uganda, along with Kenya and Nigeria. The tournament was originally planned to consist of 13 T20I matches, with the sides facing each other four times in a round-robin stage, followed by a final between the top two teams. The round-robin was later reduced by three matches with each team facing each other three times. The tournament provided preparation for all sides ahead of T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier events took place in October and November 2021.
The Uganda cricket team toured Namibia in April 2022 to play three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches and two 50-over matches. The venue for all of the matches was the United Ground in Windhoek. The tour was a repeat of Uganda's visit in April 2021, when Namibia swept both the T20I series and the 50-over series. Ahead of the matches against Uganda, the Namibians hosted the Ireland Wolves for a three-match Twenty20 series and a five-match List A 50-over series.
The Uganda women's cricket team toured Nepal in May 2022 to play a five-match bilateral Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) series. All of the matches in the series were played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. These were the first Women's T20I matches played at Kirtipur. The series was used by Uganda as preparation for the 2022 Kwibuka Tournament.
The 2022–23 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament, which was played as part of qualification process for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
The 2022–23 Kenya Women's Quadrangular Series was a Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) cricket tournament that took place in Nairobi in December 2022. Originally announced as a tri-nation series involving Kenya, Uganda and Qatar, the tournament became a quadrangular event with the addition of Tanzania. The African sides were in action for the first time since the 2022 Kwibuka T20 Tournament that was played in June 2022.
The 2022 East Africa T20 Series was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament, that took place in Rwanda in December 2022. The venue for the series was the Gahanga International Cricket Stadium in Kigali. The participating teams were originally planned to be the hosts Rwanda along with Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, with the tournament to be played as a triple round-robin. However, Kenya withdrew shortly before the tournament, and the format was changed so that each team would play each other six times in a round-robin. Uganda won the tournament after defeating Tanzania on the penultimate day of the event. Overall, out of 12 matches for each side, Uganda won nine matches and Tanzania six; Rwanda's solitary win came in a rain-shortened match against Tanzania.

Zimbabwe had won the first edition in 2019, but they did not defend the title in this edition due to other commitments. The venue for all of the matches was the Lugogo Stadium in Kampala. The five-team tournament was contested by hosts Uganda, as well as Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and United Arab Emirates. The tournament provided all teams with preparation for the 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier.
The 2023 Capricorn Women's Quadrangular Series was a women's Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament that took place in Namibia from 24 April to 2 May 2023. The tournament was played at the United Ground in Windhoek. The participating teams were the women's national sides of Namibia, Hong Kong, Uganda and United Arab Emirates. Uganda replaced United States who withdrew from the tournament.
The 2023 Continent Cup T20 Africa was a men's Twenty20 Intertnational (T20I) cricket tournament that was played in Nairobi, Kenya, in June 2023. The tournament was organised by the International League T20. The participating teams were Kenya, Botswana, Rwanda and Uganda. The tournament was to be contested as a single round-robin followed by semi-finals and a final, but this was changed to a double round-robin and a final after the withdrawal of Nigeria, and later to a triple round-robin and final after the withdrawal of Tanzania. All of the matches were played at the Gymkhana Club Ground.
