The Mass Rapid Transit, abbreviated and referred to in local parlance as the MRT, is a heavy rail rapid transit system that constitutes the bulk of the railway network in Singapore, spanning—with the exception of the forested core and the island's rural northwest—the length and width of the city-state's main island. The first section of the MRT opened on 7 November 1987, and the network has since grown rapidly in accordance with Singapore's aim of developing a comprehensive rail network as the backbone of the country's public transportation system, with an average daily ridership of 3.302 million in 2018, approximately 82% of the bus network's 4.037 million in the same period.
The Punggol LRT line is an automated guideway transit line in Singapore. The line, which initially opened on 29 January 2005, connects the residential districts and suburbs of Punggol to Punggol Town Centre, where it connects with the North East MRT line and the Punggol Bus Interchange. It is the third line of the LRT system in Singapore and like all other LRT lines, it is fully elevated and uses automated trains.
The Bukit Panjang LRT line is a 7.6-kilometre (4.7 mi) automated guideway transit line opened on 6 November 1999 as part of Singapore's LRT system, launched by then Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Dr Tony Tan. As an elevated people mover system, it is fully automated. The line uses Innovia APM 100 rolling stock supplied by Adtranz. A complete loop journey on the line takes 28 minutes. It is the first line of the LRT system in Singapore and like all other LRT lines, it is fully elevated and uses automated trains. It is the only LRT line to be operated by SMRT Trains.
Jurong East MRT station (NS1/EW24/JE5) is an above-ground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) interchange station on the North South Line and East West Line in Jurong East, Singapore. It is the terminus for the North South Line. It is located at the heart of the Jurong Lake District, within the vicinity of JCube, Jem, Westgate, IMM, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong East Bus Interchange.

The Light Rapid Transit, or Light Rail Transit (LRT), is a series of localised automated guideway transit systems acting as feeder services to the heavy rail Mass Rapid Transit, which together forms the core of Singapore's rail transport services. The first LRT line was opened in 1999 and the system has since expanded to three lines, each serving a public housing estate, namely Bukit Panjang LRT line, Sengkang LRT line and Punggol LRT line. Trains on these lines have at least one station linking it to the MRT and in turn the remainder of the LRT network.

The Downtown Line (DTL) is a medium-capacity Mass Rapid Transit line in Singapore. It is operated by SBS Transit, which is a subsidiary of ComfortDelGro Corporation. It currently runs from Bukit Panjang in the north-west to Expo in the east. The line is 41.9 kilometres (26.0 mi) long and has 34 stations, all of which are underground. The line is coloured blue on the rail map.
The Thomson–East Coast line (TEL) is a medium-capacity Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line in Singapore that is currently under construction, being the sixth line to be built. The line was announced on 15 August 2014 by the Land Transport Authority as a merger of the then planned Thomson line (TSL) and the Eastern Region line (ERL). The stretch from Woodlands North to Gardens by the Bay costs around S$18 billion. The line will open in five stages from 31 January 2020 onwards, and interchanges with all existing lines. When fully opened, it is expected to serve about 500,000 commuters daily in the initial years, rising to one million commuters daily in the long term. It will be the fourth MRT line to be operated by SMRT Trains Ltd, after the North South line, East West line and the Circle line and also the fourth to be completely automated and driverless. The line is coloured brown on the rail map.
Ayer Rajah Bus Park was a bus depot located in Commonwealth, Singapore.
The Cross Island line (CRL) is an upcoming high capacity Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line in Singapore. It is currently under planning and will be the eighth MRT line when built. The line will be coloured lime on the rail map.
Bulim Bus Depot is the first bus depot to be built by the Land Transport Authority in Singapore. It houses the buses of 26 bus services under the Bulim Bus Package. It is located along Bulim Avenue in Jurong West. Since 31 July 2015, the Bulim Bus Depot is being operated by Tower Transit Singapore.
Loyang Bus Depot was the second bus depot to be built by the Land Transport Authority in Singapore. It is located at Loyang Way at the junction of Pasir Ris Drive 3 and houses 27 services under the Loyang Bus Package. Loyang Bus Depot is currently being operated by Go-Ahead Singapore under the contracting model package.
Go-Ahead Singapore is a new Singapore bus operator that commenced operations on 4 September 2016. It is a subsidiary of the Go-Ahead Group.
Seletar Bus Depot, formerly named Sungei Seletar Bus Depot, is the third bus depot to be built by the Land Transport Authority in Singapore. It is located off Yio Chu Kang Road and houses 27 services under the Seletar Bus Package.
The Bus Contracting Model (BCM), formerly known as the Government Contracting Model, is a contracting model introduced by the Land Transport Authority in 2014 for public buses in Singapore, implemented in 2016. The BCM is based on the Transperth model in Perth, Western Australia with quality incentive elements from London Buses. Under the BCM, local and overseas bus operators bid for contracts to operate public bus services on behalf of LTA. The LTA has also adopted a new unified lush green livery and logo for all buses, and now procures and owns the bus fleet for all public bus services in Singapore.
