Tengah Bus Interchange is a bus interchange located in Tengah, Singapore. Operated by Tower Transit, it opened on 21 July 2024 and is located along Tengah Boulevard & Tengah Park Avenue and beside the Parc Woods @ Tengah residential estate. It is an interim bus interchange and will be relocated to another site when the Jurong Region MRT line opens in 2027.
Tengah Bus Interchange commenced operations on 21 July 2024.
Before September 2023, transport options were limited to a free shuttle bus, after which Feeder service 944 was extended and renumbered to Trunk service 992. [3] [4] Then on 26 November 2023, in tandem with the opening of Jurong Town Hall Bus Interchange, Trunk service 870 was introduced to connect Tengah with Jurong East. [5]
When Tengah Bus Interchange commenced operations, both services 870 & 992 were extended to serve the interchange. In tandem with the interchange opening, a new bus service, Trunk service 871, was introduced to better connect Tengah with Bukit Batok West & Beauty World. [2] On the same day, Services 870 and 992 was extended to Tengah Bus Interchange, connecting residents to Jurong East and Bukit Batok. [6]
Tengah Bus Interchange was formerly named Tengah Boulevard Bus Interchange.[ citation needed ] However due to disapproval from Tengah residents, it was renamed Tengah Bus Interchange.[ citation needed ]
Under the new Bus Contracting Model, Tengah Bus Interchange is under the Bulim Bus Package, operated by Tower Transit Singapore. All three bus services serving this bus interchange are operated by Tower Transit Singapore.

The Jurong Region Line (JRL) is a Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line under development in Singapore. It will serve the western parts of the country, particularly the new town of Tengah and its surrounding areas. First envisioned as a Light Rail Transit (LRT) line in 2001, it was put on hold throughout the 2000s before its current iteration as a MRT line was confirmed in 2013. The line is set to open in stages from 2027 to 2029. It will be the first MRT line to be fully elevated, and the fifth MRT line to be completely automated and driverless.

The Bus Contracting Model (BCM), formerly known as the Government Contracting Model, is a contracting model introduced by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) in 2014 for public buses in Singapore, implemented in 2016. The BCM is based on the Transperth model in Perth, Western Australia with quality incentive elements from London Buses. Under the BCM, local and overseas bus operators bid for contracts to operate public bus services on behalf of LTA. The LTA has also adopted a new unified lush green livery and logo for all buses, and now procures and owns the bus fleet for all public bus services in Singapore.
