First Canadian Centre is an office tower in Calgary,Alberta designed by Donald C. Smith (1929–2014) of the New York firm Skidmore,Owings &Merrill. The project was intended to include 41-storey and 64-storey towers connected by a banking hall. However,due to the early 1980s recession,the taller tower was never completed.

Eaton's / John Maryon Tower was a proposed supertall 140-storey office skyscraper,to be built in Toronto,Ontario,Canada. In 1971,Eaton's was to partner with a developer named John Maryon to build a 503 metre tower in the College Park area of Downtown Toronto. With a 183-metre communication mast added to the roof of the triangular glass office tower,the total proposed height was 686 metres. Plans for the tower were cancelled,because building a structure of this height was considered impossible at the time of its planning. The skyscraper was planned two years before the Willis Tower was completed,and five years before the CN Tower was completed. Had the tower been built,it would have been the world's tallest building until 2008,when the Burj Khalifa surpassed its planned height.

Nebotičnik is a prominent high-rise located in the centre of Ljubljana,Slovenia,and is one of the city's most recognisable landmarks. Its thirteen storeys rise to a height of 70.35 m (231 ft). It was designed by the Slovenian architect Vladimir Šubic for the Pension Institute,the building's investor. Construction began on 19 April 1931 and the building opened on 21 February 1933. It was,upon completion,the tallest building in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia,and the ninth-tallest high-rise in Europe. It was and would remain for some time the tallest residential building in Europe.

The 280 m (920 ft) tall Tower One and the 38-storey Tower Two house offices,while the podium contains retail space. Initially conceived in the late 1970s as Overseas Union Bank Centre,the headquarters of Overseas Union Bank (OUB),work on the building began in 1981,while construction of the superstructure subsequently commenced in October 1984. Costing S$486 million to build,OUB Centre opened in two phases in June and December 1986,and 90% of its office space was occupied upon opening. At the time of its completion,The Business Times claimed that the complex's tower was the tallest in the world outside the United States.
