The multi-national boy group was formed by SM Entertainment in 2016 and comprises multiple sub-units that occasionally reunite to release new music as NCT and NCT U. In 2018, the group released their first studio album, NCT 2018 Empathy, which peaked at number two on South Korea's Circle Album Chart and received a 2× platinum certification, awarded by the Korea Music Content Association (KMCA). Their next album, NCT 2020 Resonance, was released in two parts, which topped the Circle Album Chart, earning NCT their first number-one in the country. Both parts sold over 1.5 million copies and were certified Million by the KMCA. The album became NCT's first entry on national charts in Canada, Hungary, the Flanders and the United States. One of its lead singles, "Make a Wish", reached number 14 on the Circle Digital Chart, becoming NCT's first top 15 hit in South Korea, and peaked at number 126 the Billboard 200, becoming NCT's first song to enter the chart. Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul, known professionally as Ten, is a Thai singer and dancer based in South Korea and China. He debuted with South Korean boy band NCT in 2016 as part of its first sub-unit, NCT U. Since 2019, he has been active mainly as a member of NCT's China-based unit WayV and the South Korean supergroup SuperM. Ten has also released several solo singles through the SM Station project: "Dream in a Dream" (2017), "New Heroes" (2018), "Paint Me Naked" (2021) and "Birthday" (2022). He made his solo debut in February 2024 with his eponymous extended play.

<i>Regular-Irregular</i> 2018 studio album by NCT 127

Regular-Irregular is the first studio album by South Korean boy band NCT 127, the second sub-unit of the South Korean boy band NCT. Described as a multi-genre concept album with a total of eleven tracks, the album was released by SM Entertainment on October 12, 2018, and distributed by IRIVER. This marks NCT 127's first Korean major release in a year and four months since their previous EP, Cherry Bomb, which was released in June 2017. It is also their first release as a ten-member group since the addition of Jungwoo in September 2018. It is also the group's last release to date to feature member Winwin, as he would focus his promotions on WayV following the album's release.

Chinese boy band and the fourth overall sub-unit of the South Korean boy band NCT, WayV, has released two studio album, one reissue, four extended plays (EP), one single album, and eleven singles with SM Entertainment's Chinese sub-label, Label V. WayV debuted in 2019 with the single album The Vision, with a Chinese version of NCT 127's "Regular" as the lead single. In the same year, the group entered the Billboard World Albums chart for the first time with their first EP, Take Off. Their second EP, Take Over the Moon, was released on October 29, 2019, and debuted in the South Korean Gaon Album Chart and Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart. In 2020, WayV's first studio album, Awaken the World, managed to enter the top ten on both Gaon and Billboard World Albums chart as well as became the group's first entry on the Japanese Oricon and Billboard Japan charts. In 2021, WayV managed to top the Gaon Album Chart for the first time with their third EP, Kick Back, which also earned the group their first certification for selling more than 250,000 copies in South Korea. After almost two years of hiatus, WayV released their fourth EP, Phantom, in December 2022 as a sextet.

We Are Superhuman is the fourth Korean extended play by South Korean boy band NCT 127. Originally confirmed concurrently during the release of their first Japanese studio album Awaken earlier in April 2019, it was released on May 24, 2019 by SM Entertainment and Capitol Music Group. Adrian McKinnon, Tak, 1 Take, Social House, Vedo, Léon Paul Palmen, Jihad Rahmouni, Roel Donk, Sean Machum, Gaelen Whittemore, Michael Foster, Rykeyz, and others contributed both lyrics and production. Described as an electro-pop record with R&B influence, the extended play saw a "stylistic" shift from the unit's usual "experimental hip hop" direction to a "futuristic, funkier" approach.

Later that year, they released their first extended play, We Young, alongside its lead single of the same name. In 2018, they recorded the single "Go" for NCT's first studio album as a complete group, titled NCT 2018 Empathy. Their second extended play, We Go Up, was their first entry on the Oricon Albums Chart, charting at number 11. It was released in September 2018 alongside its lead single of the same name. The following year, they released their third extended play, We Boom. It spawned one single, "Boom". Their first Japanese-language extended play, The Dream, released in January 2020, was their first release to chart atop the Oricon Albums Chart. In April 2020, they released their fifth extended play, Reload. It spawned one single, "Ridin'".

<i>NCT 2020 Resonance</i> 2020 studio album by NCT

NCT 2020 Resonance is the second studio album by South Korean boy band NCT, an unlimited group project under the management of SM Entertainment. Similar to their previous release NCT 2018 Empathy, NCT 2020 Resonance is part of the "NCT 2020" project; which saw all current NCT members from several units collaborating on a full-length release. This time, the album features all 23 members from three current units of NCT; NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV, while introducing two new NCT members, namely Shotaro and Sungchan. It would also be the final NCT album to feature Lucas due to his hiatus and eventual departure in 2023. The first part was released on October 12, 2020, and the second part was then released on November 23, 2020.

<i>Hot Sauce</i> (NCT Dream album) 2021 studio album by NCT Dream

Hot Sauce is the first studio album by South Korean boy band NCT Dream, the third sub-unit of the South Korean boy band NCT. It was released on May 10, 2021, through SM Entertainment. Following their previous EP, Reload, this album marks NCT Dream's first release to feature back as a seven-member unit following the return of Mark from the termination of the age-based graduation system that was operated in the group. Hot Sauce is one of the best-selling albums in South Korea.

<i>Candy</i> (EP) 2022 EP by NCT Dream

Candy is the sixth extended play (EP) by South Korean boy band NCT Dream. It was released digitally on December 16, 2022, and physically on December 19, 2022, by SM Entertainment through Dreamus. Marketed as a special winter mini-album, the EP consists of six Christmas-themed tracks, including its lead single of the same name, originally released by H.O.T. in 1996.

<i>Golden Age</i> (album) 2023 studio album by NCT

Golden Age is the fourth studio album by South Korean boy band NCT. It was released on August 28, 2023, by SM Entertainment. Similar to their previous releases NCT 2018 Empathy, NCT 2020 Resonance, and NCT 2021 Universe, Golden Age is part of "NCT 2023" project; which saw all current NCT members from several units collaborating on a full-length release. This time, the album features 20 members from three current units of NCT; NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV. The album consists of ten tracks with two singles released to support the album, the title track of the same name and "Baggy Jeans".
