Utsav Bharat (formerly known as Star Bharat UK) is a European Hindi pay television channel owned by The Walt Disney Company India subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. [1]

History

In November 2006, Star One, along with Star Gold, launched in the UK on Sky.

Star One was rebranded as Star Life OK on May 2012. It was then rebranded again on 28 August 2017 as Star Bharat. [2]

On 30 December 2020, Disney announced that the ‘Star’ branding would be replaced with ‘Utsav’ in 2021, as the Star branding was moved to STAR on Disney+. [3]

Utsav Bharat rebranded with a new logo and graphics package on 25 July 2022, during the finale of the scripted reality show Swayamvar - Mika Di Vohti. The new slogan was Dil Deke Dekho Zara (Give Your Heart and See). [4]

The Channel had a revamp on the 26 September 2023.

Programming

The channel line-up consists of family dramas, crime, romantic and television films. It also broadcast shows which are exclusive to Utsav Bharat viewers, Hindi Bollywood movies and movies dubbed in Hindi.

The channel along with Utsav Plus launched a programming block Star Zaika. [5]

‘Star Zaika’ consists of cooking shows which are aired during different times of the day on both Utsav Plus and Utsav Bharat.

The Channel had a revamp once again on the 26 September 2023.
