Vannadil Puthiyaveettil "V. P." Krishnakumar (born 8 September 1958 [1] ) is a sound engineer, editor and recordist known mostly for his works in Malayalam films, documentaries and TV series. He has worked with acclaimed film directors including G. Aravindan, Padmarajan, T. V. Chandran and K. P. Kumaran. He specializes in Sync sound—for many of his notable works, audio was recorded live. He has also worked on foreign projects, including a documentary with German documentary filmmaker and director Andreas Voigt. After long stints with Kerala State Film Development Corporation's Chitranjali Studio and Kalabhavan Digital Studios in Thiruvananthapuram, and Kochi, he heads the Department of Sound Recording at Chitranjali Studio, Thiruvananthapuram.
V. P. Krishnakumar did his schooling in Payyanur and later went to Payyanur College. After completing a course in audio engineering from Chennai, he joined the Kerala State Film Development Corporation in 1981.
Krishnakumar started his career under the veteran sound engineer at Chitranjali Studio, P. Devadas. He later worked with famed directors like G. Aravindan, Padmarajan, Adoor Gopalakrishnan, T. V. Chandran, Santosh Sivan and K. P. Kumaran. Some of his work include movies like Koodevide, [2] Vasthuhara, [3] Marana Simhasanam, [4] Ilayum Mullum [5] Aakasha Gopuram, [6] Nokkukuthi, Ore Thooval Pakshikal, Mukhamukham, [7] Anantaram, [8] Marattam, Rugmini, Kathavasheshan, [9] Sufi Paranja Katha, [10] Nizhalkuthu, [11] [12] Anandabhadram, [13] Sancharam [14] and Celluloid. [15] He has also worked on the Hindi movie, Mr. Singh Mrs. Mehta [16] — directed by Pravesh Bhardwaj—and the Anglo-Malayalam movie Before the Rains, directed by Santosh Sivan. [17] Other acclaimed works include Chintha Ravi's Ente Keralam TV Series for Asianet.
He has worked with foreign filmmakers like Chitra Neogy [18] of the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and the German documentary filmmaker and director Andreas Voigt.
His recent non-Malayalam works include the Kokborok movie Yarwng [19] [20] and the Franco-German documentary "The Mahouts of Kerala" by Andreas Voigt. [21] on Kerala's elephants and mahouts.
Velutha Rathrikal—the Irula language-Malayalam [22] movie directed by Razi Muhammed, Pathirakalam, [23] Amma—a documentary by veteran journalist Neelan [24] — are some of his recent works.
He was recently a member of Kerala State Chalachitra Academy's TV Awards 2016 jury. [25]

Adoor Gopalakrishnan is an Indian film director, script writer, and producer and is regarded as one of the most notable and renowned filmmakers in India. With the release of his first feature film Swayamvaram (1972), Gopalakrishnan pioneered the new wave in Malayalam cinema during the 1970s. In a career spanning over five decades, Gopalakrishnan has made only 12 feature films to date. His films are made in the Malayalam language and often depict the society and culture of his native state Kerala. Nearly all of his films premiered at Venice, Cannes and Toronto International Film Festival. Along with Satyajit Ray and Mrinal Sen, Gopalakrishnan is one of the most recognized Indian film directors in world cinema.
Malabar Gopalan Nair Sreekumar, better known as M. G. Sreekumar is an Indian playback singer, composer, music producer, television presenter and film producer, who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. Regarded as one of the greatest singers in Indian Cinema, he has sung more than 2500 songs in various Indian languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and Sanskrit. He owns a music company named KMG Musics and the Saregama School of Music in Thiruvananthapuram.On October 2024 he appionted as the Director of the Music Accademy of the UAE Government. Sreekumar has won several awards, including two National Film Awards, three Kerala State Film Awards and 5 Filmfare Awards South. He was also honoured with the Harivarasanam Award by the Government of Kerala in 2016. His career as a singer spans over 44 years.

Koodevide? is a 1983 Malayalam-language drama film, written and directed by P. Padmarajan, starring Mammootty, Suhasini, and Rahman. The film is based on the Tamil novel Moongil Pookkal by Vasanthi. It marked Rahman's movie debut. The film was a major commercial success and was Padmarajan's first commercial hit.
Celluloid is a 2013 Indian Malayalam-language biographical film co-produced, written, and directed by Kamal, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sreenivasan, Mamta Mohandas, and Chandni in the lead roles. The film is a biopic based on the life story of J.C. Daniel, the father of Malayalam cinema, the making of his film Vigathakumaran, and the story of Vigathakumaran's heroine P. K. Rosie. The film is particularly based on Life of J. C. Daniel, a biography of J. C. Daniel written by Chelangatt Gopalakrishnan. The filming started in November 2012, and the online posters were done by a 16-year-old boy, Aswin, which went viral on social media. It was released in February 2013. The film opened with positive reviews and received seven Kerala State Film Awards, including Best Film and Best Actor (Prithviraj). The movie received many awards and much appreciation with the support of All Lights Film Services (ALFS), a leading film festival consultancy. The film was a blockbuster at the box office.
Sithara Krishnakumar is an Indian playback singer, composer, lyricist, classical dancer and an occasional actor. She predominantly works in Malayalam cinema in addition to Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. Sithara is a well known singer who is trained in Hindustani and Carnatic classical music traditions and is also a recognised ghazal singer. Krishna Ravindranathan Nair , also known as Achani Ravi or General Pictures Ravi, was an Indian film producer of Malayalam films, industrialist and philanthropist. He was known for a number of critically acclaimed films he produced, such as Kanchana Sita, Thampu, Kummatty, Esthappan, Pokkuveyil, Elippathayam, Manju, Mukhamukham, Anantaram and Vidheyan. Nair was credited with fostering the art film movement in Malayalam cinema during the period from the 1970s to the 1990s. A multiple recipient of National and State film awards, Nair was awarded the J. C. Daniel Award by the Government of Kerala, in 2008, for his contributions to Malayalam cinema.
Mohan Kupleri (Malayalam: മോഹൻ കുപ്ലേരി; born 19 June 1957) is an Indian film director in Malayalam cinema, Television Serials and Advertising Films. He made his debut cinema with Grihaprevesam (1992). Sufi Paranja Katha is a 2010 Indian Malayalam-language film directed by Priyanandanan based on K. P. Ramanunni's novel with the same title. Ramanunni himself wrote the story, screenplay, and dialogues for the film. Thampi Antony, Prakash Bare, and Sharbani Mukherjee did the main roles in this film. The film has been distributed by Central Pictures. It is widely regarded as one of the defining movies of the Malayalam New Wave.

Razi Muhammed did his BFA in Applied Arts at College of Fine Arts Trivandrum and his MFA in Illustration and Photography at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Then joined in Film and Television Institute of India and got his Diploma in Cinema with specialisation in Scenic Design in first class with first rank.
Kadha Paranja Kadha is a 2018 Indian Malayalam-language film written and directed by Siju Jawahar, and starring Siddharth Menon, Tharushi, Shaheen Siddique, Renji Panicker, and Dileesh Pothan. The film features music composed by Sithara Krishnakumar and Jaison J. Nair. The film was released on 9 February 2018 in theatres and digital platform in 2021 by Baburaj Asariya through his film production & distribution house Collective Frames. It was released on Amazon Prime in the UK and the USA.
