China Central Television State-controlled broadcaster of the Peoples Republic of China

China Central Television (CCTV) is a Chinese state-controlled broadcaster controlled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). CCTV has a network of 50 channels broadcasting different programmes and is accessible to more than one billion viewers in six different languages. Most of its programmes are a mixture of news, documentary, social education, comedy, entertainment, and drama, the majority of which consists of Chinese soap operas and entertainment. Star World English-language television channel in Asia

Star World is an English language entertainment television channel originally launched on 15 December 1991 by STAR TV in Hong Kong as the old iteration of Star Plus. On 31 March 1996, the channel was split into two, when the former became Star World in East and Southeast Asia part of STAR TV's rebranding, and the latter retained the Star Plus name in India and the Middle East. However, after Star ended its partnership with Zee TV on 30 June 2000, Star Plus was transformed into a Hindi-language channel, with Star World being already introduced in the region as an English entertainment replacement.

C4 (New Zealand TV channel) New Zealand television channel

C4 was a New Zealand television channel owned and operated by MediaWorks New Zealand. C4 was available on both digital terrestrial and satellite platforms and played music around the clock, including from their radio side from The Rock, The Edge, The Breeze, More FM, George FM, Mai FM & The Sound. C4 also aired a lot of speciality music shows such as HomeGrown, Top 10/100, Video Hits, Fade To Black, Steel Mill and Biggest Records Right Now. The channel was originally launched in October 2003 as a re-branding of TV4 which had been broadcasting since 1997. On 1 May 2010, as C4 had been moving away from music programming since 2008, the jukebox side was split off and C4 launched a second C4 channel on Channel 9 called C4 2. C4 2 was only available on digital Freeview terrestrial and satellite platforms. At the end of 2010 an announcement was made that MediaWorks would again re-brand the current C4 channel as FOUR, which meant C4 2 would be converted to a music show as C4 was moved to its Channel 9 position. C4 shut down on Thursday 26 June 2014 at 01:00 am. It was replaced by The Edge TV the next day on Friday 27 June 2014 at 04:00 pm.

More4 is a British free-to-air television channel, owned by Channel Four Television Corporation. The channel launched on 10 October 2005. Its programming mainly focuses on lifestyle and documentaries, and it also shows dramas and comedies, though often late at night.

ABS-CBN Commercial media network in the Philippines

ABS-CBN is a Philippine commercial broadcast network and syndication, program distributor, and production company that serves as the flagship property of ABS-CBN Corporation, a company under the Lopez Group. It formerly operated as a free-to-air television network. The network is headquartered at the ABS-CBN Broadcasting Center in Quezon City, with additional offices and production facilities in 25 major cities including Baguio, Naga, Bacolod, Iloilo, Cebu, and Davao. ABS-CBN's production and post-production facility is located at the Horizon IT Park in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan which opened in 2018. ABS-CBN was colloquially referred to as the Kapamilya Network; this branding was originally introduced in 1999 and was officially introduced in 2003 during the celebration of its 50th anniversary and was used until its May 5, 2020 shutdown. During its shutdown, ABS-CBN's branding changed to Kapamilya Forever in support for the network's franchise renewal on May 13, 2020. ABS-CBN is the largest media company in the country in terms of assets, manpower, and international coverage. As of 2020, the terrestrial broadcasting operations of the network is indefinitely suspended due to lack of license and franchise, but broadcasting activities continued via online, cable and satellite, streaming platforms, and other free-to-air terrestrial television.

ETC (Philippine TV channel) Television network in the Philippines

ETC is a commercial broadcasting television network in the Philippines owned by the Southern Broadcasting Network subsidiary of Solar Entertainment Corporation. Its digital free-to-air broadcast is carried by SBN's flagship station, DWCP-DTV in Metro Manila. The channel's analog broadcast is fed on its lone provincial TV station, DXSS-TV in Davao City. The channel is also carried by cable and satellite providers, including Sky Cable, Destiny Cable, Cablelink, Binangonan Cable TV Corporation, G Sat, Cignal and SatLite, along with various provincial cable operators and through online streaming.

True Entertainment

True Entertainment was a former British free-to-air television channel that was launched on 3 August 2009, replacing Showcase TV. The change was originally scheduled to happen on 1 July 2009, but a late change put the change "on hold until further notice". Whilst the bulk of its programming were movies, similar to sister channels True Movies 1 and True Movies 2, the channel aimed to establish itself as a general entertainment channel.

Over their history, the various channels were operated by Hallmark Entertainment Networks, Inc. (1995-2005), Sparrowhawk Media, Limited (2005-2007) and Universal Networks International (2007-2011). Universal Networks International rebranded or discontinued the channels by July 2011. Hallmark Entertainment Networks, Inc. was owned by Crown Media Holdings, Inc. Star World (Indian TV channel) Indian entertainment channel

Star World is an Indian pay television channel launched on 15 December 1991 and is supposed to orignal film on 24 November 2021. It is owned by Star India, a fully owned subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company India. The channel airs popular English shows from around the globe and mainly focuses on 14- to 35-year-old urban population, with 24-year-old working professionals being its primary target demographic.

Great! TV British general entertainment channel owned by Narrative Capitals LLC

Great! TV is a general entertainment channel in the United Kingdom that is owned by Narrative Capital. It originally launched as Sony Entertainment Television on 7 April 2011. However, it was closed on 6 February 2018 and replaced by Sony Crime Channel. It was brought back for a second time on 10 September 2019 when it replaced True Entertainment. The relaunched Sony Channel had different idents and programming than the former due to inheriting some programming from its predecessor True Entertainment and on 25 May 2021, following Narrative Capital's acquisition of Sony's channels, it was rebranded as Great! TV.

GTV (Philippine TV network)

GTV(Good TV), stylized as Gtv, is a Philippine free-to-air television network owned and operated by the Citynet Network Marketing and Productions Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of GMA Network Inc. It was launched on February 22, 2021, replacing GMA News TV on its flagship station, UHF Channel 27 Metro Manila and its provincial relay stations. It is a sixth overall secondary television brand of GMA Network since its inception in 1995 as Citynet Television. The network produces programmes from studios located at the GMA Network Center, EDSA corner Timog Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City. The network's primary transmitter facility is located at the GMA Tower of Power site, Tandang Sora, Barangay Culiat, Quezon City and it operates Mondays to Thursdays from 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 midnight and Fridays to Sundays from 5:30 a.m. to 12:00 midnight.
