Vasco van der Valk (born 17 November 1999 in Amersfoort, the Netherlands) is a Dutch motorcycle road racer. He was second in the Dutch NSF100 Championship for Kids 2011, organised by former Grand Prix 125 rider Arie Molenaar. Later he was third in the Moriwaki 250 JuniorCup 2013 of Ten Kate Racing, after which he raced in British Motostar, support series to the British Superbike Championship, and with Supersport 600 machinery in the German IDM Championship.
At the age of 4 Van der Valk started riding motocross bikes on a Yamaha PW50, but advanced to a KTM SX50 later. Just when he switched to a KTM 65SX at the age of 8, he was introduced to minibike racing.
Van der Valk first got to ride a minibike of Scott Deroue and bought a Blata two-stroke minibike of his father Bert. After a few months he switched to a four-stroke Pasini, a brand built by Luca Pasini, father of Moto2 rider Mattia Pasini. He then started riding with a group of other kids on the same brand like Bo Bendsneyder, Livio Loi and Robert Schotman.
Despite being only 9 years old, he was selected as reserve rider for the first edition of the Dutch Honda NSF100 Championship for Kids 2011, organised by former Grand Prix 125 rider Arie Molenaar. The series was run on stock Honda NSF100 motorcycles riding karting tracks. From that series a lot of Dutch and Belgian Grand Prix riders would emerge, like Scott Deroue, Bo Bendsneyder and Livio Loi. Van der Valk raced in this series for 3 years, to become runner-up behind Bendsneyder in 2011 and runner-up in the NSF100 World Race in South Africa.
In 2012 a switch was made to the 'big tracks' with the Moriwaki 250 Junior Cup, run by the Ten Kate Racing team. Riders came from all over the world to ride the Moriwaki MD250H racing motorcycles, consisting of a Moriwaki chassis fitted with a Honda CRF250X motocross engine. After two years of steady improvement to a third place in the championship in 2013, the 2014 season was a bit of a disappointment because of some major crashes, the first of which happened in the pre-season on the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and saw him being airlifted to hospital.
Because of the non-existence of a Dutch Moto3 championship and the small number of riders in the German Moto3, for 2015 Van der Valk went to ride with the new Moto3-team of Isle of Man TT rider Ian Lougher in British Motostar, a support series of the British Superbike Championship. Despite being new to Moto3 and not knowing the tracks, he gradually moved forward during the season and took some impressive 4th and 5th places in the end of the season. Overall he ended up 8th in the Moto3 Motostar championship, with him being the only rider to score points in every race. For 2016 Van der Valk switched to GA Competition so he could ride on a Geo-Honda, with Daniel Sáez as teammate, but after 4 races Van der Valk split from the team, unhappy with proceedings.
Partly because of him being 1.80 m tall Van der Valk started riding a 600 Supersport with Team Hoegee Liqui Moly Suzuki on a Suzuki GSX-R600. He competed in three nl:Open Nederlands Kampioenschap Wegrace races in which he came second twice and won one.
In 2017 Van der Valk races for the Dutch SWPN team in the German IDM Supersport 600 Championship on a Yamaha YZF-R6. He was also granted a wildcard in the Dutch round of the Supersport World Championship on the TT Circuit Assen. For 2018 Vasco switched to another Dutch team: Benro Racing. He did the full season in the IDM Supersport 600 Championship, and made wildcard appearances in the Supersport World Championship on the TT Circuit Assen, plus the Campionato Italiano Velocità (CIV) Supersport 600 and British Superbike Championship Supersport 600. Because of both technical issues and bad luck the results were not as solid, with only two podiums in IDM. In 2019 Vasco switched to the SRTD Pearle Gebben Racing Team for another year in the GermanIDM Supersport 600 Championship, with mixed results.
After the 2021 season Vasco decided to stop racing motorcycles and focus on his study Finance and Investments at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam.

Van der Valk has been using 62 as racing number since he was 5, since that was his house number and the only number he could remember at that age. Between 2009 and 2011 he had to use 26 in the Molenaar NSF 100 Championship for Kids, since he was the first reserve rider in 2009 due to his age. This automatically implied he had to use 26 after 25 regular riders.
Michael Laverty is an occasional motorcycle racer from Toomebridge, Northern Ireland. After participating in the 2017 season in the British Superbike Championship aboard a Yamaha YZF-R1, and the 2018 season on a Tyco BMW, Laverty became a television commentator and occasional rider in Endurance events.
Anthony Keith West,, is an Australian motorcycle road racer. He most recently raced in the 2019 Brazilian Superbike Championship for the Kawasaki Racing Team. West was suspended from participating at any FIM sanctioned events for 24 months due to testing positive for banned substances from 8 July 2018 to 14 September 2020. In 2018 he competed in the Supersport World Championship, aboard a Kawasaki ZX-6R and in the Asia Road Race SS600 Championship, aboard a Yamaha YZF-R6.
Ten Kate Racing is a motorcycle racing team competing in World Supersport with 2023 rider Jorge Navarro and Stefano Manzi. They previously competed in the Superbike World Championship with 2019 rider Loris Baz, and previously with Gulf Althea Racing BMW Motorrad.
James Lodge is a British motorcycle racer who was a two-time British 125 cc champion 2009 and 2010. Lodge also rode two wildcard races in the 125 cc category at the British rounds of 2009 and 2010 World Championships, failing to finish both times. Lodge competed in the National Superstock 600 Championship in 2014. He gained his first podium in the class at the Brands Hatch Indy circuit at the first race of the 2012 season.
The British Supersport Championship, National Superstock 1000 & 600 and the British Motostar Championship are the four main championship series that are run as support races alongside the British Superbike Championship. In 2012 the Motostar category replaced the defunct 125cc category that had been running since the start of the British Superbike Championship in 1988, Motostar was open to both 125 and 250 machines similar to Moto 3 machines. The Supersport racing started in 1989 and is a class comprising 600cc Motorcycles that are allowed racing modifications and custom tuning. It wasn't until 2000 that the Superstock 1000 category replaced the defunct 250cc category, with the Superstock 600 championship being the newest addition on the support series in 2008. In 2010 the Superstock 1000 and Superstock 600 categories also supported the British rounds of the Superbike World Championship and the Moto GP both at Silverstone.
Javier "Xavi" Forés Querol is a motorcycle road racer from Spain. For 2020 he competed in the Superbike World Championship aboard a Kawasaki ZX-10RR, and for 2021 in both British Superbike Championship for FHO Racing using BMWs, and FIM Endurance World Championship for BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team.
Taylor Mackenzie is a former Grand Prix motorcycle racer based in Leicestershire, England, the son of a former motorcycle racer Niall Mackenzie, and older brother to racer Tarran Mackenzie.
Luca Grünwald is a German motorcycle racer. At international level, he competed in the 125cc and Moto3 classes of Grand Prix motorcycle racing, the Supersport 300 World Championship and the Supersport World Championship. At national level, he competed in the ADAC Junior Cup, the IDM 125GP Championship, the IDM Moto3 Championship where he won the titles in 2010 and 2012 respectively, the IDM Supersport Championship, the IDM Superstock 1000 Championship and the IDM Superbike Championship.
Bryan Schouten is a Dutch former motorcycle racer who retired at the end of the 2017 season. Schouten is a former winner of the Dutch ONK 125GP Championship and the Dutch ONK Moto3 Championship, and has also competed in the German IDM 125GP Championship, the German IDM Moto3 Championship, the Spanish CEV Moto3 series and the European Superstock 600 Championship. He won the IDM Superstock 600 Championship in 2016, but even as a champion he could not find the resources to start in 2017. He decided to stop his career, however, less than a week later, Schouten returned to his decision when Ten Kate Racing Products approached him for testing the new Honda CBR-1000RR SP2 and started in the (Dutch) NK SuperCup 1000. After one season, Schouten has decided to start his social career at the age of 23 years. But his dreams are that there will be time and opportunities to help young riders in the future - maybe even on a part-time schedule.
Thomas Strudwick is a British motorcycle road racer from West Sussex. During 2024, he raced in both the UK BMW F900 Cup national-level series winning the championship, and the inaugural National Sportbike Championship on a Triumph 765 where he finished third.

During 2023 he contested the World Supersport Championship for Japan-based MIE Honda run by Midori Moriwaki, winning his first world championship supersport race after continuing to ride on a wet track with dry tyres, when competitors were losing time pitting for wheel-changes. For 2024, he continued with the same team in World Superbikes.
