Vibe was a heavy metal/alternative rock band from Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was formed in 2001 [1] but is no longer active since 2007. [2]

History and albums

Vibe was formed in 2001, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. [3]

Founding members of Vibe were Shuddho Fuad Sadi, Sabbir Hossain Turjo, Mahjuj Jasim Sourav, Saber Ahmed Khan and Wali Muhammad Akbar. In 2002, Mahjuj Jasim Sourav left Vibe. Tanvir took over Sourav's place in 2003. In 2004, the band recruited Mashfiq, just after Tanvir left. The final line-up of Vibe was-

In 2003, their first track was released in mixed album "Agontuk 1". This album also contained tracks from bands like Aurthohin, Artcell, Black, Cryptic Fate and Poizon Green.

In 2007, a few weeks before Eid, [5] Vibe introduced their first full-length album- "Chena Jogot" in the label of G Series. This album contains 11 tracks. [6]

In 2007, Vibe won Citycell-Channel i Music Award for Best Band. Vibe performed their last big show in 2008, at Mohakhali, Dhaka. [7] After releasing its debut album, the band became inactive, though they performed regularly from 2001 to 2008. In 2008, their track "Otripto Pran" was released in the compilation album "Underground 2".

Run Out is a 2015 Bangladeshi action romance film written by Rafiqul Islam Poltu. Directed by Tonmoy Tansen, it is presented by Sadat Mahmud Tanvir as a production of New Gen Entertainment. Development began in February 2012. The film stars Shajal Noor, Rumana Swarna, Mousumi Nag, Tanvir Hossain Probal, Mahmudul Islam Selim, Sabiha Masum, Goutam Saha, Jubayer Hillol, Zara, Aurindom Nattya Gosthi and Tariq Anam Khan in a cameo in the film.

Amit Hasan is a Bangladeshi film actor who was elected secretary general of the Bangladesh Film Actors' Association in 2015. In its review of 2011 cinema, The Daily Star included Amit Hasan among "Other stars that deserve mention". In January 2015 Hasan participated in a strike of Bangladeshi film artists against the screening of the Indian film Wanted in Bangladesh, calling for a boycott of Bangladeshi theatres showing the movie.

The film story and screenplay written by Bulbul Biswas himself and dialogue by Delowar Hossain Dil. It feature Shakib Khan, Apu Biswas, Anisur Rahman Milon, Sadek Bachchu, Amit Hasan in lead roles. ঘুমন্ত শহরে is the fifth studio album Bangladeshi rock band LRB. It was released on 13 July 1995, by Soundtek Electronics Limited. It was their first album to feature drummer Riyad, following the departure of previous drummer Milton Akbar.

Bangladeshi heavy metal or Bangla heavy metal was originated from the evolution of British and American heavy metal bands of the 1980s. Bands like Iron Maiden, Metallica and Megadeth have had the greatest influences on Bangladeshi heavy metal musicians. Other 1970s bands to influence are bands like Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Motörhead. The first bands to play heavy metal in Bangladesh were bands like Warfaze and Rockstrata. The most prominent era for heavy metal movement was between the early 1990s to early 2000s. Warfaze, Rockstrata, Aces and In Dhaka are often considered as the "big four founders of heavy metal". Other 2000s metal bands are bands like Artcell, Aurthohin, Cryptic Fate, Powersurge, Mechanix, Metal Maze, Vibe and Stentorian. Alternative bands like Nemesis, Arbovirus and Black also played some alternative metal songs over the years. Warfaze, Artcell and Aurthohin together are the most popular rock/metal trio of Bangladesh.
