Vivian Dsena (born 28 June 1988) is an Indian actor who works in Hindi television. Dsena is considered among the most popular Hindi television actors [1] . He made his acting debut with Kasamh Se . Dsena has also participated in reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi 7, Bigg Boss 18 and Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 8. [2] [3] [4] Dsena is best known for his portrayal of vampire Abhay Raichand in supernatural thriller Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahani , Rishabh Kundra in romantic Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon and Harman Singh in drama Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki , winning several accolades including Indian Telly Awards, ITA Awards and Gold Awards. Early life and family

Dsena was born on 28 June 1988 [7] [8] at Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India. [9] His mother is Hindu, while his father is a Christian. [7] Through his father, his grandfather was Portuguese while his grandmother had British descent. [10] In an interview he stated that his mother was an athlete and his father a footballer, leading to his passion for football since the age of 10. He is a fan of the football player Lionel Messi. [11]

Personal life

In 2013, Dsena married his Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani co-star Vahbiz Dorabjee but the couple filed for divorce in 2016. [12] [13] [14] The divorce was finalized in 2021. [15] In 2022, Dsena married Nouran Aly, an Egyptian journalist. They have a daughter together. Dsena converted to Islam in 2019 and is a practicing Muslim. [16] [17] Before his conversion to Islam, he was a Christian. [18]

Dsena often gets criticized, especially after his divorce from his first wife, which led to many negative rumors spreading about him. Even to this day, he continues to face criticism. [19]
