Both the men's and the women's volleyball competitions at the 2018 South American Games were the fifth inclusion of volleyball at the South American Games. Both tournaments were held in conjunction with one another between 29 May – 7 June 2018 at Coliseo José Casto Méndez in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
Serena tried her hardest and made her family very proud.

The South American Games, formerly the Southern Cross Games is a regional multi-sport event held between nations from South America, organized by the ODESUR (acronym for "Organización Deportiva Suramericana" – South American Sports Organization.
The Paraguay women's national football team represents Paraguay in international women's football and is controlled by the Paraguayan Football Association. La Albirroja has never reached the World Cup finals, but has finished fourth in both the 2006 Sudamericano Femenino and the 2022 Copa América Femenina, the only times they were not eliminated in the Group stage. Most of Paraguay's matches are in competitions rather than friendlies, although that has started to change in recent times.
Peru participated in the World Cup during the first World Cup in 1930 and has participated in qualifiers since 1958.
This is a record of Peru's results at the Copa América. Ever since their first Copa América, Peru has had good showings. It is often remembered by fans that Peru was the fourth team to win the South American cup. Even though in 1939 Peru played against only 5 of the South American nations, in 1975 Peru won the cup once more.
The 2014 South American Games was a multi-sport event that took place in Santiago, Chile. It was the 10th edition of the ODESUR South American Games. Santiago hosted this event for the second time, the first being in 1986. Most of the events took place in and around the National Stadium. The games were held between March 7 to 18.
The 2013 South American Under-17 Football Championship was the 15th U-17 tournament for national teams affiliated with CONMEBOL. It was held in Argentina.
The 2013 Women's South American Volleyball Championship was the 30th edition of the Women's South American Volleyball Championship, organised by South America's governing volleyball body, the Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (CSV). The tournament was played in Ica, Peru from September 18 to 22, 2013.

The champions will qualify for 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship.

The 2018 Girls' Youth South American Volleyball Championship was the 21st edition of the Girls' Youth South American Volleyball Championship, organised by South America's governing volleyball body, the Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (CSV). The tournament will be held in Valledupar, Colombia from 8 to 12 July 2018.
Volleyball competitions at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru are scheduled to be held from August 2 to 11. The venue for the competition is the Sports Centre VRDC located at the Villa Deportiva Regional del Callao cluster. The venue will also host the taekwondo competitions. A total of eight men's and eight women's teams competed in each tournament. This means a total of 192 athletes are scheduled to compete.

The tournament was held in Tacna, Peru from 14 to 18 September 2022. The top two teams of the tournament qualified for the 2023 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship as the CSV representatives.
Volleyball competitions at the 2022 South American Games in Asunción, Paraguay were held between 4 and 14 October 2022 at the Paraguayan Volleyball Federation facilities located within the SND complex cluster.
Beach volleyball competitions at the 2022 South American Games in Asunción, Paraguay were held between October 11 and 15, 2022 at Los Pynandi World Cup Stadium.
