Taxonomy

This species was described in 1985 by Ray Forster and Norman Platnick from male and female specimens collected in Otago. The holotype is stored in Otago Museum. [1]

Description

The male is recorded at 2.00mm in length whereas the female is 2.12mm. This species has dorsal markings on the abdomen. [1]

Distribution

This species is only known from Otago, New Zealand. [1]

Conservation status

Under the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Naturally Uncommon" with the qualifiers of "Data Poor: Size" and "Data Poor: Trend". [2]
