Weird Kids is the second studio album by American rock band We Are the In Crowd.

Production

Weird Kids was produced, mixing, and recorded by John Feldmann. Tommy English and Zakk Cervini did additional production and mixing; Joe Gastwirt mastered the album. [2]

Composition

"Attention", according to Taylor Jardine, "is about friendship, and needing friends to help you see it’s okay to change for the better." [3]

Release

On August 20, 2013, "Attention" was made available for streaming. In addition, a lyric video was also released. [4] Later that month, the group performed three headlining shows in the UK, and appeared at the Reading and Leeds Festivals. Following this, they supported New Found Glory for a few shows in Europe. [5] On December 3, Weird Kids was announced for release in February 2014. In addition, the album's track listing and artwork were revealed. [6] A music video was released for "The Best Thing (That Never Happened)" on December 10, directed by Mark Staubach. [7] A behind-the-scenes video followed five days later. [8] On January 20, 2014, "Long Live the Kids" was made available for streaming. [9] On January 27, "Windows in Heaven" was made available for streaming. [10] In January and February, the group went on a UK tour with Neck Deep and Save Your Breathe. [6]

"Manners" was made available for streaming on February 3. [11] Weird Kids was made available for streaming via MTV on February 11, [12] before being released on February 18 through independent label Hopeless Records. The group then embarked on a US tour between February and April, with William Beckett, Set It Off, State Champs and Candy Hearts. [6] In April and May, the band supported Mayday Parade on their So Devastating, It’s Unnatural Tour in the US. [13] Also in May, the band appeared at Slam Dunk Festival in the UK. [14] Between June and August, the band went on Warped Tour. [15] "Manners" was released to radio on August 4. [16] On September 22, a music video was released for the track. [17] The band supported New Found Glory on the Glamour Kills tour in October and November. [18]

Wishful Thinking is the debut studio album by the Welsh pop punk band Neck Deep. Vocalist Ben Barlow met guitarist Lloyd Roberts when Roberts was working with Barlow's brother, Seb. Following the upload of a song under the artist name Neck Deep, the song gained attention. This attention resulted in the duo obtaining guitarist Matt West, drummer Dani Washington and bassist Fil Thorpe-Evans. The band released two EPs, Rain in July (2012) and A History of Bad Decisions. In March 2013 the band started recording material at Celestial Recordings in Wrexham, where they began recording guitar, bass and vocals. The group then moved to Outhouse Studio in Reading, where they recorded drums. Material was produced by Seb Barlow and the band. In mid-August, the group had signed to Hopeless, and by late August, they announced the album had been finished.

Lower Than Atlantis is the fourth studio album by British rock band Lower Than Atlantis. With the release of Changing Tune (2012), the band moved to an arena rock-orientated sound. Following the touring cycle for Changing Tune, Island Records gave the band an ultimatum. The result of which ended with the band taking a label advance and building their own recording studio in Watford in July 2013. Discussing new material, vocalist/guitarist Mike Duce called the lyrics "quite vague" compared to his previous autobiographical work. Bassist Declan Hart listed Pantera, C2C and The 1975, among others, as influences for the album. Recording was done with producer Dan Lancaster over the course of "seven or eight months". It's also the first record to feature guitarist Nick Martin who replaced former guitarist Jesse Lawson. Madness was preceded by lead single "Kick Me" as well as a string of digital singles released in the days leading up to the album's release. Life's Not out to Get You is the second studio album by Welsh pop punk band Neck Deep. Following the success of their debut album, Wishful Thinking (2014), the majority of the band members quit their day jobs and vocalist Ben Barlow dropped out of university. Working with Jeremy McKinnon, Andrew Wade and Tom Denney, the band recorded their second album between December 2014 and January 2015. Following recording the band immediately went on tour.
