Lake County is one of the 36 counties in the U.S. state of Oregon. As of the 2020 census, the population was 8,160. Its county seat is Lakeview. The county is named after the many lakes found within its boundaries, including Lake Abert, Summer Lake, Hart Lake, and Goose Lake.
Hillsboro is the fifth-largest city in the U.S. state of Oregon and is the county seat of Washington County. Situated in the Tualatin Valley on the west side of the Portland metropolitan area, the city hosts many high-technology companies, such as Intel, locally known as the Silicon Forest. At the 2020 census, the city's population was 106,447.

The Sunset Transit Center is a TriMet bus transit center and light rail station on the MAX Blue and Red lines in Beaverton, Oregon. It opened for MAX in 1998 and is the 5th stop westbound on the Westside MAX. This is the first stop after the Robertson Tunnel under Portland's West Hills. Sunset TC is the second-busiest station on the Westside MAX line, with a weekday average of almost 6,000 daily riders in 2012. Though the station has a Portland address, it primarily serves residents of the communities of Cedar Hills, Cedar Mill, and Beaverton.
Hatfield Government Center is a light rail station on the in downtown Hillsboro, Oregon, United States, owned and operated by TriMet. The station is the western terminus of the MAX Blue Line. Opened in 1998, it is located in the same block as the Hillsboro Post Office and adjacent to the Washington County Courthouse and the Hillsboro Civic Center. The block is bounded by First and Adams streets on the east and west and Washington and Main streets on the south and north. The station is named in honor of Mark O. Hatfield, a former United States Senator from Oregon and light rail proponent. It is the furthest west light rail station in the Continental United States.
Willow Creek/Southwest 185th Avenue Transit Center is a transport hub in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States. Owned and operated by TriMet, it is a light rail and bus station. The transit center is the ninth station eastbound on the Blue Line and a hub for bus routes mostly serving Washington County in the Portland metropolitan area. It is located by the intersection of Southwest Baseline Road and 185th Avenue near the city's boundary with Beaverton. Opened in 1998, the station was originally conceived as the western terminus of the Westside MAX, but the line was extended further west into Hillsboro, due to population growth occurring at the time the line was being planned. Artwork at the stop represents a reading motif, as a library was planned for the station, but never built. Willow Creek is near the Oregon National Primate Research Center and the rest of the Oregon Health & Science University's West Campus in the Tanasbourne neighborhood.

Triangle Lake is an unincorporated community in Lane County, Oregon, United States. It is about 25 miles (40 km) west of Junction City on Oregon Route 36, on the southwest side of the lake of same name. Lake Creek, a tributary of the Siuslaw River, enters and exits the lake. Triangle Lake is closely linked to the unincorporated community of Blachly, on the northeast side of the lake, and the two communities share the K-12 Triangle Lake School, the only school in Blachly School District. Triangle Lake is served by the Blachly post office and the Pioneer Telephone Cooperative.

Illinois River Forks State Park is a state park in the U.S. state of Oregon, administered by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department. The park consists of approximately 400 acres, with 170 located between the forks of the Illinois River and the remainder on the west side. The portion between the forks of the river and accessed from Highway 199 just south of Cave Junction, is developed with paved parking, grass lawns with picnic tables, outhouses, and offers a wonderful swimming hole for summer users. The west side of the park, accessed from Westside Road, offers the West Side Trailhead and nearly seven miles of single-track, natural surface hiking and equestrian trails. There is gravelled parking for cars, and a separate pull-through parking lane area for horse rigs. A vault toilet and kiosk with the trail system displayed is in the parking area.
Foster is an unincorporated community partly within the city of Sweet Home in Linn County, Oregon. It is located on the western end of the Foster Reservoir. A post office named Foster serves ZIP code 97345, which serves areas beyond the Sweet Home city limits on both the north and south sides of Foster Lake: on the north side, the area extends along the Middle Santiam River to the west end of Green Peter Lake; on the south, the area extends for several miles along the South Santiam River and U.S. Route 20.
Baileysville is an unincorporated community in Wyoming County, West Virginia, United States. Most of the town was purchased by the United States Army Corps of Engineers in the 1960s and 1970s for construction of the R. D. Bailey Lake. The Post Office was closed in 1973. The geographic name lived on in the local high school, Baileysville High School, which served a regional area and was actually located outside of the town proper. The school was closed in 2002 after consolidating with nearby Oceana High to form Westside High School.

Mark W. Bullard, also known as M. W. Bullard, was an American pioneer who established homesteads in Oregon and Washington state. As a young man, he traveled from his family home in Vermont to California and then on to Oregon and Washington. He eventually settled in what is now Pacific County, Washington. He served in the Washington territorial militia during a regional Indian war in the mid-1850s. After the war, he moved to the Goose Lake Valley in south central Oregon. While there, he donated property to establish a new town that became Lakeview, Oregon, the county seat of Lake County. He later returned to his farm in Pacific County, Washington.
