The Westin Virginia Beach Town Center is a 38 story high rise hotel and living residence in Virginia Beach Town Center, Virginia Beach, Virginia. The 4 star, 236-room hotel occupies the first 15 floors of the building, while the upper stories are residential. The 119 condominiums in the top floors range from 900 to 4,000 square feet (370 m2). Construction began in 2006. Upon completion in 2008, it became the tallest building in both Virginia Beach and Virginia, surpassing the James Monroe Building in Richmond. [2] In 2018, the hotel portion of the building was renovated. [3]

The Residences Providence is a high-rise residential tower in downtown Providence, Rhode Island, designed by TRO Jung Brannen and developed by The Procaccianti Group. It is situated adjacent to the Omni Providence Hotel, a 25-floor hotel with similar fenestration and styling. The Residences Providence is slightly taller than its counterpart, rising an additional 52 ft (16 m). The lower floors are an extension of the hotel. Floors 16-31 consist of high-end condominiums. The James Monroe Building is an office building located in Downtown Richmond, Virginia. It is the tallest building in Richmond at 137 meters (449 ft) and 29 floors. Only 25 of the floors, however, are actually occupiable as the top and middle two are maintenance floors. Although it is the tallest building in Richmond, its location at the bottom of a hill gives it the appearance of being roughly the same height as other buildings in the Richmond skyline. The building has a parking garage at its base and is located adjacent to Interstate 95.

Designed by Ellerbe Becket Inc and Susman Tisdale Gayle Architects, the building broke ground on July 10, 2001, and topped out officially on January 17, 2003, a span of 1 year, 6 months, and 7 days. In 2018, a $7.5 million overhead walkway was constructed to connect the sixth floor of the hotel with the fourth floor of the Austin Convention Center.
