The Caraway Mountains are a mountain range located in western Randolph County and a section of eastern Davidson County, North Carolina. The mountains are located between the cities of Asheboro and Lexington and are bisected by US Highway 64. The mountains are known for their rugged and steep terrain and rise to over 1,000 feet (300 m). Typically the Caraways are said to be a part of the Uwharrie Mountains and make up the northern extent of this range. They extend from roughly south of High Point and transition into the Uwharries, stretching roughly 30 miles (48 km). The range is only about 10 miles (16 km) wide. The range takes its name from Caraway Creek, which was named after a Native American tribe that lived in the area before European settlement. The area was once a highly used Indian trading area and many early settlers noted that the Indian trading paths tended to "disappear" into the mountains. Prominent peaks in the area are Caraway Mountain, Back Creek Mountain, Daves Mountain, Ridges Mountain, and Mount Shepherd, the latter at 1,150 feet (350 m) being the highest point in Randolph County. Its foothills are in Chatham County.
Carbonton is an unincorporated community in southwestern Chatham County, North Carolina, United States, along the Deep River. The community lies near the point where Chatham, Lee, and Moore counties intersect one another. The community derived its name from the local coal industry that thrived nearby until the early 20th century.

At the intersection of the two roads, there are some stores, but other than that the entire community is agricultural. Children living in this area attend schools in Silk Hope and Siler City.
Tobin Lake is a reservoir along the course of the Saskatchewan River in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. Tobin Lake was formed by the building of the E.B. Campbell Dam on the Saskatchewan River in 1963. Tobin Lake is named for William Thorburn, who was a fur trader on the Saskatchewan River. He had built a trading post on the Saskatchewan River where it is met by the Petaigan River. The rapids near the post became known as the "Thornburn Rapids". The name was later shortened to "Tobin Rapids".
Lac La Ronge Provincial Park is located in the boreal forest of the north central part of the Canadian province of Saskatchewan within the Canadian Shield. Situated in the Churchill River system, this provincial park has close to 100 lakes and more than 30 canoe routes, many of which follow old fur trade routes. Summer activities include camping, hiking, boating, fishing, and swimming. In the winter, there's cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. Saskatchewan's highest waterfall is in the park. Nistowiak Falls are located north of Lac La Ronge along the Rapid River.
Fish Springs is an unincorporated community in Carter County, Tennessee. Fish Springs is located on the south shore of Watauga Lake, along US Route 321 and Tennessee State Route 67 east of Hampton.
