Xanthesma federalis, or Xanthesma (Xenohesma) federalis, is a species of bee in the family Colletidae and the subfamily Euryglossinae. It is endemic to Australia. It was described in 1965 by American entomologist Charles Duncan Michener. [1] [2]
The species occurs in the Australian Capital Territory. The type locality is Cotter River. It has also been recorded from Black Mountain. [2]
The adults are flying mellivores. [2]
