Yasmin Bilkis Sathi is a Bangladeshi model, beauty pageant titleholder and actress who was crowned Miss Bangladesh 1995 and represented Bangladesh at Miss World 1995. [1] [2] [3] She also received Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2003 for Bir Soinik . [4]

Biography

After crowning Miss Bangladesh in 1995 Yasmin Bilkis Sathi acted in Pordeshi Babu which was released in 1999. [5] She acted in Bir Soinik in 2003 and for this film she received National Film Award. She also acted in Aha! in 2008. [5]

Miss World 1995

Miss World 1995, the 45th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 18 November 1995 for the fourth straight year at the Sun City Entertainment Centre in Sun City, South Africa. The 1995 pageant attracted 84 delegates. The pageant was hosted by Richard Steinmetz, Jeff Trachta, and Bobbie Eakes and also involved supermodels Linda Evangelista and Beverly Peele and Bruce Forsyth who acted as presenters. Aside from Sun City; Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and the Comoros hosted some segments of the show. The winner was Jacqueline Aguilera of Venezuela. She was crowned by Miss World 1994, Aishwarya Rai of India.

Delwar Jahan Jhantu is a Bangladeshi film director, producer, lyricist, composer, screenwriter, story-writer, editor, cinematographer, music director and a freedom fighter. He made his directorial debut with the film Leader, he it also produced it. His first directorial released was Bonduk, and it was released on 1978. As of 2 August 2019 he has directed 75 films in more than four decades of his career, which is the highest directorial venture of any single director in Bangladeshi film and has written screenplays for more than 350 films. He won the National Film Awards as Best screenplay for the film Goriber Raja. His latest directorial film is Akash Mahal, which was released in 2019.
