Yermarus Thermal Power Station is a coal-based thermal power plant located in Yermarus village in Raichur district, Karnataka. The power plant is owned by the Karnataka Power Corporation. [1] This is India's first 800MW super critical thermal power plant and Bharat Heavy Electricals is the EPC contractor for this power project. [2] [3]

The Koldam Dam Hydropower Project commonly known as KolDam, is an embankment dam on the Satluj River upstream of the Dehar Power House. It is 18 km from Bilaspur off the Chandigarh-Manali Highway (NH-21) near Barmana, Himachal Pradesh. The main purpose of the dam is hydroelectric power generation and it will support an 800 MW power station. The dam was constructed by National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC).

Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited (BSPHCL), formerly Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB) is a state-owned electricity regulation board operating within the state of Bihar in India. Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB) was established in 1958 as a statutory corporation under the Electricity (Supply) Act, 1948. As of November 2012, BSEB has nearly 1,700 officers and 14,850 employees. The derated capacity comes to just 530 MW. The BSEB was unbundeled on 2 August 2011. Power Finance Corporation was the main consultant for BSEB's restructuring.

Barauni Thermal Power Station is an existing 720 megawatt coal-fired power station earlier owned by Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB). The power station is located at Barauni in Begusarai district, Bihar, India. Barauni thermal power station in Bihar came into existence in association with the Russian collaboration and came into operation in the year 1962. Bihar Government was mulling over the idea to hand over Barauni Thermal Power Station to NTPC Limited. On 17 April 2018, Bihar state cabinet, headed by chief minister Nitish Kumar, gave its nod to handing over of Barauni Thermal Power Station to National Thermal Power Corporation. On 15 May 2018, Bihar Government signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to hand over the thermal plant to National Thermal Power Corporation for a 33- years lease. East Central Railway will provide uninterrupted supply of coal to thermal power station. NTPC completed the acquisition of 720 MW Barauni thermal power plant with effect from 15 December 2018. The units of Barauni power station will be progressively put under commercial operation.

Yadadri Thermal Power Plant or Yadadri TPS is an upcoming 4000 megawatt, supercritical thermal power project coming up at Dameracherla, Nalgonda district in Telangana, India. The project is second largest in South India, at a cost of ₹25,099 crores and is expected to complete by October 2021 in a phased manner. The state-owned Telangana State Power Generation Corporation Limited (TSGENCO) is building the 5 x 800 mega thermal power station, built on 2800 acres near Veerlapalem Village in Nalgonda District, the second mega project announced by the Telangana government after Bhadradri Thermal Power Plant.

The Singareni Thermal Power Plant (STPP) is a coal-fired power station in Pegadapalli, a village in Telangana, India. The power plant has an installed capacity of 1200 MW, consisting of two 600 MW units, and is operated by the Singareni Collieries Company.

Patratu Super Thermal Power Project is under-construction. It is 4000 MW, situated in Patratu, Ramgarh district, Jharkhand. It will utilize 1500 acres out of 6300 acres available with the existing Patratu Thermal Power Station.
