Yocona is an unincorporated community in Lafayette County, in the U.S. state of Mississippi. [2]
Yocona was founded in the 1840s, and named after the Yocona River. [3] A variant name was "Stringtown". [2]

Enid Lake is a lake that is located mostly in Yalobusha County in the U.S. state of Mississippi. Parts of it extend into Panola and Lafayette counties.
