"You Go Your Way" is a song by English singer Perrie. It was released on 4 October 2024, through Columbia Records. [1] [2] The single debuted at number fifty-two on the UK Singles Chart and charted for one week.
Edwards teased the release date of her new song on 16 September 2024, after a clip was uploaded onto her social media pages, where fans had to decode the caption. [3] On 20 September 2024, she revealed its artwork, release date and the song was released on 4 October 2024. [4] On 26 September 2024, she shared a clip from the song. [5]
The song was written by Perrie Edwards, Henry Counsell and Alfie Russel and produced by Russel and Joy Anonymous. [6] The song was inspired by a conversation Edwards had with her fiancé English footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain when they first started dating in November 2016, where she told him she would not pressure him into committing to her and suggested they both focus on their own paths first and see what happens next. The music video of the song was directed by Charlie Di Placido and produced by Matt Craig. It was released along with the single. [8]
On 4 October 2024, "You Go Your Way" received its first performance on The Graham Norton Show . [9] On 29 October 2024, Edwards performed the song and a mashup cover of "Die with a Smile" by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars and "Wonderwall" by Oasis on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge . "Hand on Your Heart" is a song by Australian singer Kylie Minogue from her second studio album, Enjoy Yourself (1989), and released as its lead single on 24 April 1989. Much like her previous releases up to Let's Get to It (1991), the song was written and produced by English songwriting and record production trio Stock Aitken Waterman (SAW). Referenced tracks during composition included "This Old Heart of Mine" by the Isley Brothers and "That's the Way Love Is" by Ten City.
"Defying Gravity" is a song from the musical Wicked, composed by Stephen Schwartz. It was originally recorded on November 10, 2003, by American actresses Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth, who portrayed Elphaba and Glinda in the musical respectively. The song was released as part of the accompanying cast recording on December 16, 2003. "Higher" is the fifth single from English singer-songwriter Taio Cruz's second studio album, Rokstarr. It was written and produced by Cruz and Sandy Vee, and was released on 26 November 2010. This song was originally written for Australian singer Kylie Minogue's album Aphrodite, but plans fell through. However, Cruz and Minogue recorded a version of the song for the European release, while American rapper Travie McCoy recorded guest raps for the American release. The Brazilian and United Kingdom versions have parts of McCoy's rap mixed into the Minogue version. Originally written by Ed Sheeran, a demo version of the track was sent to Perrie where she recorded a new version of it at her in home studio in London. Co-written and produced by notable names including David Hodges formerly of rock band Evanescence, the lyrics and concept was changed to fit her perspective of past relationships.

"Angel of My Dreams" is the debut solo single by English singer and songwriter Jade. It was released on 19 July 2024, through RCA Records. and marks her first solo endeavour after Little Mix began their hiatus in May 2022. Jade co-wrote the song with Steph Jones, Pablo Bowman and its producer Mike Sabath. Because of the sample of the 1967 Eurovision Song Contest winning song "Puppet on a String" by English singer Sandie Shaw which is played at the beginning and end of the track, Bill Martin and Phil Coulter received writing credits.
