Olsen Brothers are a Danish rock/pop music duo, formed by brothers Jørgen and Niels "Noller" Olsen, who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2000. They formed their first band, The Kids, in 1965. The Kids warmed up for The Kinks in the K.B. Hallen in 1965 and released their first single in 1967.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2005 was the 50th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Kiev, Ukraine, following Ruslana's win at the 2004 Contest in Istanbul, Turkey with the song "Wild Dances". The contest consisted of two shows: the semi-final and final, which took place on 19 and 21 May 2005, respectively, at the Palace of Sports. Sweden has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 59 times since making its debut in 1958, missing only three contests since then. Denmark was represented by the band Bamses Venner, with the song '"Tænker altid på dig", at the 1980 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 19 April in The Hague. "Tænker altid på dig" was chosen as the Danish entry at the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix on 29 March. Other participants in the 1980 DMGP included Danish Eurovision winners Grethe Ingmann and the Olsen Brothers, and 1989 entrant Birthe Kjær.
Denmark was represented by the band Brixx, with the song '"Video, Video", at the 1982 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 24 April in Harrogate, England. "Video, Video" was chosen as the Danish entry at the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix on 13 March. The previous year's Danish entrant Tommy Seebach failed in his bid to represent Denmark for a third time.

Lukas Graham is a Danish pop and soul band. It consists of lead vocalist Lukas Forchhammer, drummer Mark Falgren, and bassist Magnus Larsson. The band released their first album, Lukas Graham, with labels Copenhagen Records and Then We Take the World in 2012. The album peaked at number one on the Danish charts. Their second album was released in 2015 and earned international attention with singles like "Mama Said" and "7 Years", the latter of which topped the singles charts in many major music markets. The self-titled international debut album was officially released in the United States by Warner Bros. Records on 1 April 2016.

"Cliche Love Song" is a song by Danish singer Basim co-written by Lasse Lindorff, Kim Nowak-Zorde, Daniel Fält all of GL Music and Basim himself. It was chosen during Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2014 qualification round to represent Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 which Denmark hosted in the Danish capital of Copenhagen. Being the host, Denmark already was directly qualified for the Final. 'Cliche Love Song' therefore didn't have to qualify in the semi-finals. On the 17 March the EBU announced Denmark got the 23rd place in the running order of the final.
