Zenonia anax is a butterfly in the family Hesperiidae. It is found in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Shaba), south-western Tanzania, Malawi and central and northern Zambia. [2]

They were previously placed in a separate superfamily, Hesperioidea; however, the most recent taxonomy places the family in the superfamily Papilionoidea, the butterflies. More than 3500 species of skippers are recognized, and they occur worldwide, but with the greatest diversity in the Neotropical regions of Central and South America.
