Bilat Paswan, who wrote under the pen name Vihangam, was an Indian writer and politician, known for his writings in Hindi & Maithili literature. [1] He was a former chairman of Bihar Public Service Commission & former chairman of Bihar Inter University Board. Born in 1940 to Bhutai Paswan in Bihar, [2] he represented Rajnagar (Vidhan Sabha constituency) at the Bihar Legislative Assembly for two terms in 1968 and 1972 & Khajauli (Vidhan Sabha constituency) at the Bihar Legislative Assembly for two terms in 1985 and 1990, [3] contesting under Indian National Congress candidature, defeating Ram Lakhan Ram of the Communist Party of India on both the elections. [4] He also contested two elections unsuccessfully, in 1980 and 2000. [5] The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2005, for his contributions to literature. [6]

Ram Vilas Paswan was an Indian politician from Bihar and the Cabinet Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in the first and second Modi ministries. Chirag Kumar Paswan is an Indian politician and former actor serving as the 1st president of the Lok Janshakti Party since 2021, 2nd president of Lok Janshakti Party from 2019 to 2021 and a Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Jamui Lok Sabha constituency since 2014. He is the son of late Member of Parliament and Union Minister, Ram Vilas Paswan.

Dukhan Ram (1899–1990) was an Indian ophthalmologist, academic, legislator and the vice chancellor of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University. He was the principal of Patna Medical College, one of the oldest medical colleges in India, and the president of Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Sabha, a satellite organization of Arya Samaj, founded by Dayanand Saraswati. Manibhai Jaberbhai Patel (1920-1996) was an Indian industrialist, writer, politician and a member of the 4th Lok Sabha. He represented Damoh Lok Sabha constituency from 1967 and was a member of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly for two terms, from 1957–62 and 1962–67. He was the author of a number of books which included Nehru Vani, Janata ke Jawahar, Shantidoot Shastriji, Shreemati Indira Gandhi, Panchayaten Aur Humara Dayitwa and Pagdandiyon ki Awaz. The Government of India awarded him Padma Bhushan, the third highest Indian civilian award, in 1971.

Janardan Paswan is an Indian politician and two-time elected member from Chatra Vidhan Sabha constituency to Bihar and Jharkhand assembly. First he was elected in year 1995 on the ticket of Janta Dal for Bihar legislative assembly. After the partition of state of Bihar into two states Bihar and Jharkhand on 14 November 2000, BJP won the Chatra seat twice. Then again in year 2009 assembly election Janardan Paswan got the mandate of people of Chatra on the ticket of RJD, and served his second tenure as MLA in Jharkhand legislative assembly.

Musafir Paswan was an Indian politician from Bihar and a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. Paswan won the Bochahan Assembly constituency on the Vikassheel Insaan Party ticket in the 2020 Bihar Legislative Assembly election. He previously contested the 1995 Bihar Legislative Assembly election on a Samata Party ticket, 2000 Bihar Legislative Assembly election on a Janata Dal (United) ticket, 2010 Bihar Legislative Assembly election on a Rashtriya Janata Dal ticket, and the 2015 Bihar Legislative Assembly election on a Samajwadi Party ticket from the Bochahan.
