Mohammad Sharaf-e-Alam is an Indian writer, educationist, scholar of Persian language and the first vice chancellor of Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic and Persian University. [2] [3] [4] He served at the university from 2004 till 2007 and has worked at B. N. College as the head of the department of Persian Language. [2] [3] He is also credited with several publications. [3] Alam, a recipient of the Certificate of Honour from the Government of India, [3] was honored again by the Government, in 2013, with the fourth highest Indian civilian award of Padma Shri. [5]

Bihar Vidyapeeth is an Indian Educational Institution founded by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi on 6 February 1921 but it was seized by the British in 1942. It was started in Patna by Shri Rajendra Prasad and the land was donated by Maulana Mazharul Haque. Its first Institution was opened at Patna-Gaya road presently known as Buddha Marg. It was inaugurated by Mohammad Ali Jauhar and Kasturba Gandhi along with Mahatma Gandhi. In 2022, It is proposed to make Bihar Vidyapeeth a Central University.

Abul Kalam Qasmi Shamsi is an Indian Islamic scholar, author, essayist and an Urdu translator of the Qur'an. He has been the principal of Madrasa Islamia Shamsul Huda, Patna, for about thirteen years. Some of his works included Tazkira Ulama e Bihār, Tahrīk e Aazādi Mein Ulama e Kirām Ka Hissa, Bihār Ki Urdu Shā'irī Mein Ulama Ka Hissa and Tashīl al-Qur'an.
