Habibullo Rajabov is an Indologist from Tajikistan. In 2018, he was conferred the Padma Sri by the President of India for his contribution to the fields of education and literature. He is the first Tajik national to receive the award. [1] [2]

Padma Vibhushan Second highest civilian award of the Republic of India

The Padma Vibhushan is the second-highest civilian award of the Republic of India, after the Bharat Ratna. Instituted on 2 January 1954, the award is given for "exceptional and distinguished service", without distinction of race, occupation, position, or sex. The award criteria include "service in any field including service rendered by Government servants" including doctors and scientists, but excluding those working with the public sector undertakings. As of 2020, the award has been bestowed on 314 individuals, including seventeen posthumous and twenty-one non-citizen recipients.

Padma Shri Fourth highest civilian award in the Republic of India

Padma Shri, also spelt Padma Shree, is the fourth-highest civilian award in the Republic of India, after the Bharat Ratna, the Padma Vibhushan and the Padma Bhushan. It is awarded by the Government of India every year on India's Republic Day.

Amjad Ali Khan Bangash is an Indian classical sarod player, best known for his clear and fast ekhara taans. Khan was born into a classical musical family and has performed internationally since the 1960s. He was awarded India's second highest civilian honour Padma Vibhushan in 2001.

Narayanan Srinivasan (1930–2014) was an Indian nuclear scientist and the founder project director of Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR). One of the pioneers of atomic energy program in India, he served as the design engineer for the plutonium plant at Trombay, as the project director of IGCAR at Kalpakkam, as the chief executive of Heavy Water Board and later the Nuclear Fuel Complex, and sat in the Atomic Energy Commission of India from 1982 to 1987. The Government of India awarded him the Padma Bhushan, the third highest civilian award, in 2003. He was also a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Department of Atomic Energy which he received in 2009. Srinivasan died on May 18, 2014, at Chennai, at the age of 84.

Satyanarayansinh Shivsinh Rathore is an Indian civil engineer. He belongs to the royal family of Valasna State. He is popularly known as the “highway and canal man of Gujarat”.

Krishna Srinivas (1913–2007) was an Indian writer of English literature, known for his spiritualistic poems. He was the president of the World Poetry Society Intercontinental (WPSI). The Government of India awarded him the Padma Bhushan, the third highest civilian award, in 2004.

L. Z. Sailo is an Indian writer and a former captain of the Indian Army. He has also served in the UN Peace Keeping Force at Congo and one of his books, Runlum Nuthai, was selected as the Mizo Academy of Letters Book of the Year in 2002. The Government of India awarded him the Padma Bhushan, the third highest civilian award, in 2007.
