Manitoba has 10 cities, including Flin Flon, part of which is in the neighbouring province of Saskatchewan. These cities had a cumulative population of 892,507 and an average population of 89,251 in the 2021 Census. [3] The province's largest and smallest cities are Winnipeg and the Manitoba portion of Flin Flon, with populations of 749,607 and 4,940 respectively. [3] The peak population of the Manitoba portion of Flin Flon was 10,548, which it reached in 1961. [4]
Manitoba's newest and fastest-growing city is Morden, which was incorporated as a city on August 24, 2012. [5]

Flin Flon is a mining city, located on a correction line on the border of the Canadian provinces of Manitoba and Saskatchewan, with the majority of the city located within Manitoba. Residents thus travel southwest into Saskatchewan, and northeast into Manitoba. The city is incorporated in and is jointly administered by both provinces.
