Montoneros was an Argentine left-wing Peronist guerrilla organization, active throughout the 1970s and early 1980s. The name is an allusion to the 19th-century cavalry militias called Montoneras, who fought for the Federalist Party during the Argentine Civil Wars.
Carlos Federico Ruckauf is a Peronist politician in Argentina, member of the Justicialist Party. He served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from January 2002 to March 2003. He had earlier served as Vice-President of Argentina from 1995 to 1999, with Carlos Menem, and as his Interior Minister during his first administration. He was twice elected to the National Assembly following the restoration of democratic rule.
Emilio Eduardo Massera was an Argentine Naval military officer, and a leading participant in the Argentine coup d'état of 1976. In 1981, he was found to be a member of P2, a clandestine Masonic lodge involved in Italy's strategy of tension. Many considered Massera to have masterminded the junta's Dirty War against political opponents, which resulted in over 30,000 deaths and disappeances.

Alberto Emilio Asseff is an Argentine lawyer and politician. He served as a National Deputy between 2011 and 2015, representing Buenos Aires province by the alliance between his party UNIR Constitutional Nationalist Party and Compromiso Federal, created by former president Alberto Rodríguez Saá. He was re-elected as a deputy in 2019, but on this occasion for Juntos por el Cambio, in charge since then. He also served as member of Mercosur Parliament from his election in 2015 until 2019 as part of Unidos por una Nueva Alternativa.
