The 1973 European Junior Badminton Championships was the third edition of the European Junior Badminton Championships. It was held in Edinburgh, Scotland, in the month of April. [1] Danish players won both the singles disciplines and mixed doubles while England won Girls' doubles, and Sweden won Boys' doubles title. [2]

Kim Astrup Sørensen is a Danish badminton player. As junior player, he won the bronze medal at the 2010 World Junior Championships in the boys' doubles. He later won a gold in the mixed doubles and bronze medals in the boys' doubles and team events at the 2011 European Junior Championships. He joined the Denmark winning team at the 2016 Thomas Cup in Kunshan, China, where he and his teammates beating Indonesia 3–2 in the final. Astrup emerge victorious in the men's doubles at the 2018 European Championships.

Julie Finne-Ipsen is a Danish badminton player from the Værløse club. Finne-Ipsen also plays golf for the Danish national team. She started her badminton career at the Ballerup club at aged six. In 2013, she won silver medal in girls' doubles event and bronze medal in mixed doubles event at the European Junior Badminton Championships.

Sara Lundgaard is a Danish badminton player. Lundagaard started her junior career at the Lillerød club, and she moved to Værløse. In 2015, she won the silver medal at the European Junior Championships in the mixed doubles event.

Joel Eipe is a Danish badminton player. He won the boys' doubles title at the 2015 European Junior Championships, and a silver medal at the World Junior Championships.

Frederik Søgaard Mortensen is a Danish badminton player. He was the silver medalist in the boys' doubles at the 2015 World Junior Championships and in the mixed doubles at the 2015 European Junior Championships and also won bronzes in the boys' doubles and the team events at the European Junior Championships. Søgaard was part of the Denmark winning team at the 2019, 2021 European Mixed Team and the 2020 European Men's Team Championships.

Jacob Chemnitz is a Danish badminton player from the Lillerød team. In the junior event, Chemnitz had won the mixed doubles title at the 2002/2003 Danish U-19 National Championships partnered with Line Reimers who also trained at the Lillerød. He also won the mixed doubles bronze medal at the 2003 European Junior Championships with Mille Pjedsted. In the senior event, Chemnitz had won international tournaments at the 2006 Cyprus, 2007 Portugal, and Polish International tournaments partnered with Mikkel Delbo Larsen in the men's doubles. Teamed-up with Marie Røpke in the mixed doubles, they had won the 2008 Irish International.

Danish players won the Girls' singles, Boys' doubles and Mixed doubles while Finland won Boys' singles and Sweden won Girls' doubles title.
