The 1987 European Junior Badminton Championships was the tenth edition of the European Junior Badminton Championships. It was held in Warsaw, Poland, in the month of April. [1] Danish players won the Girls' singles, Boys' doubles and Mixed doubles while Finland won Boys' singles and Sweden won Girls' doubles title. [2] [3]

Kim Astrup Sørensen is a Danish badminton player. He was the men's doubles gold medalists at the 2018 European Championships and the 2023 European Games with his partner Anders Skaarup Rasmussen. He also won the bronze medal at the World Championships in 2021 and later a silver medal in 2023. Astrup joined the Denmark winning team at the 2016 Thomas Cup in Kunshan, China, where he and his teammates beating Indonesia 3–2 in the final. Together with Rasmussen, he reached a career high of World number 5 in September 2018.

Toma Junior Popov is a French badminton player. He won the bronze medal at the 2015 European Junior Championships in the boys' singles event. Popov made history as the first non-Danish male player to win a European Junior team gold as well as the men's singles and doubles in 2017. He joined Peter Gade, Jim Laugesen, and Thomas Stuer-Lauridsen as the only men to have ever completed the treble. He competed at the 2018 Mediterranean Games and claimed the men's singles bronze medal.

Julie Dawall Jakobsen is a Danish badminton player. She won gold medals in the girls' doubles at the 2015 European Junior Championships and in the girls' singles event in 2017.

Steffen Rasmussen is a Danish badminton player. In 2009, he won the boys' singles and doubles bronze medals at the European Junior Championships. In 2015, he won the men's singles title at the Finnish International tournament.

Christo Popov is a French badminton player who affiliate with Fos club. He was the boys' doubles European U15 and U17 Junior Champions, also won the boys' singles silver medals at the 2018 European and 2019 World Junior Championships. He reached a career high as boys' singles World Junior number 1 in January 2020. He then clinched the boys' singles title at the 2020 European Junior Championships. In 2024, he became the first Frenchman to reach the semi-finals of the All England Open.

The 1999 European Junior Badminton Championships were the 16th tournament of the European Junior Badminton Championships. It was held in Kelvin Hall, Glasgow, Scotland, from 3 April – 10 April 1999. German players won both the singles events and Girls' doubles title, while Danish players grabbed titles in Boys' doubles and Mixed doubles. Germany also won the mixed team title.

The 1977 European Junior Badminton Championships was the fifth edition of the European Junior Badminton Championships. It was held in Ta' Qali, Malta, in the month of April. English players dominated by winning five out of six matches which includes the mixed team championships as well. Danish team won the Boys' doubles title. Kevin Jolly, the English player who was scheduled to play in three final showdowns suffered foot injury, preventing him from contesting all the matches. Thus, matches for only Girls' singles and Girls' doubles were played on final day. The large-scale final day had to be saved with some show matches. In these show matches, Sweden's Ulf Johansson beat Andy Goode, England, who was named champion in singles, while Jesper and Niels in doubles beat Nigel Tier & Gary Reeves, England, 18-13, 15-11.

The 1995 European Junior Badminton Championships was the 14th tournament of the European Junior Badminton Championships. It was held in Nitra, Slovakia, in the month of April. Danish players dominated with four titles in both Boys' events, Mixed doubles and Mixed team championships while Nederlands won Girls' singles and England secured the Girls' doubles title.

The 1971 European Junior Badminton Championships was the second edition of the European Junior Badminton Championships. It was held in Gottwaldov, Czechoslovakia, in the month of April. Danish players won both the Girls' singles and doubles while England won Boys' doubles and Mixed doubles. Netherlands' Ridder won Boys' singles title.
