The 1989 European Junior Badminton Championships was the 11th tournament of the European Junior Badminton Championships. It was held in Manchester, England, from 26 March to 1 April. [1] Danish players won all the individual titles and mixed team championships as well. [2] [3] [4]

Line Højmark Kjærsfeldt is a Danish badminton player specializing in singles. She won a bronze medal at the 2010 BWF World Junior Championships in the women's doubles with Sandra-Maria Jensen. Kjærsfeldt also won a gold medal in 2015 European Games.

Kim Astrup Sørensen is a Danish badminton player. He was the men's doubles gold medalists at the 2018 European Championships and the 2023 European Games with his partner Anders Skaarup Rasmussen. He also won the bronze medal at the World Championships in 2021 and later a silver medal in 2023. Astrup joined the Denmark winning team at the 2016 Thomas Cup in Kunshan, China, where he and his teammates beating Indonesia 3–2 in the final. Together with Rasmussen, he reached a career high of World number 5 in September 2018.

The 2003 European Junior Badminton Championships were the 18th tournament of the European Junior Badminton Championships. They were held in Esbjerg, Denmark, from 12–19 April 2003.

Karen Neumann is a German badminton player. She competed at the 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympics. In the national event, Neumann who played for the FC Langenfeld had won eight titles at the National Championships. Neumann was the bronze medallists at the 1996 European Championships in the mixed doubles event, and at the 1989 European Junior Championships in the girls' doubles event.

Thomas Craig Maltman is a Scottish professional golfer. He had some successes in Scottish events, winning the Scottish Assistants' Championship three times and winning the Tartan Tour Order of Merit in 1989 after winning the Sunderland Sportswear Masters and the Ram Classic that year. He played on the Safari Circuit, winning 1989 Zambia Open and the 1993 Kenya Open.
