<i>Daily Times</i> (Pakistan) Pakistani newspaper

The Daily Times (DT) is an English-language Pakistani newspaper. Launched on April 9, 2002, Daily Times, is simultaneously published from Lahore and Islamabad. The newspaper was owned by Governor of Punjab and Pakistan Peoples Party member Salmaan Taseer.

This is a list of notable events that took place in Pakistan in 1954.

The year 1993 saw political unrest within Pakistan as president Ghulam Ishaq Khan and prime minister Nawaz Sharif duelled for supremacy. Khan dissolved Sharif's government, only for it to be restored by a Supreme Court verdict.

Pride of Performance is a civil award given by the Government of Pakistan to Pakistani citizens in recognition of distinguished merit in the fields of literature, arts, sports, medicine, or science.

Saboor Ali is a Pakistani actress. The younger sister of actress Sajal Aly, she began her acting career with a family drama Mehmoodabad Ki Malkain (2011). She garnered recognition with a comic role in sitcom Mr. Shamim (2015). She continued playing supporting roles in several television series and made her film debut with a romantic-comedy Actor in Law (2016), for which she earned a Lux Style Award for Best Supporting Actress nomination. She has since played leading roles in dramas, such as Mere Khudaya (2018), Gul-o-Gulzar (2019) Fitrat (2020)for which she received a nomination for Lux Style Award for Best TV Actress and Mushkil (2022)and received critical acclaim as well as Hum Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as a tomboy in Parizaad (2021).

<i>Kitni Girhain Baaki Hain</i> Pakistani anthology television series

Kitni Girhain Baqi Hain is a Pakistani anthology television series produced by Angeline Malik which premiered on 27 March 2011 on Hum TV. The series is based on short stories in real-life situations. A second season premiered on 30 October 2016, on the same network but with a different cast.

Sajal Aly is a Pakistani actress and model who predominantly appears in Pakistani television and films. Aly received several accolades including five Hum Awards and was considered one of Pakistan's highest-paid actresses. She began her acting career with Geo TV's comedy Nadaaniyaan in 2009 and later on appeared in breakout role of ARY Digital's drama Mehmoodabad Ki Malkain in 2011.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Hasan Ali (cricketer)</span> Pakistani cricketer

Hasan Ali is a Pakistani cricketer who plays for the national team in all formats. He made his first-class debut for Sialkot in October 2013. He made his international debut for Pakistan in August 2016 in a One Day International (ODI) match. The following summer, he was named in Pakistan's squad for the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy. Pakistan went on to win the tournament with Ali named player of the tournament after taking thirteen wickets, and took the final wicket of Jasprit Bumrah. He became the quickest bowler for Pakistan to take 50 wickets in ODIs. In August 2018, he was one of thirty-three players to be awarded a central contract for the 2018–19 season by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Feroze Khan is a Pakistani actor, model and video jockey. who works in Urdu television. He made his acting debut with Bikhra Mera Naseeb as Harib in 2014 and got breakthrough after portraying Adeel in Hum TV's romantic Gul-e-Rana in 2015. Khan received wider popularity after portraying Mir Hadi in Khaani 2017-18. His other notable works include Ishqiya and Khuda Aur Muhabbat 3.

Yaqeen Ka Safar is a Pakistani television drama series produced by Momina Duraid through MD Productions for Hum TV. It aired from 19 April 2017 to 1 November 2017, with a total of 29 episodes. It was written by Farhat Ishtiaq, based on Ishtiaq's novel Woh Yakeen Ka Naya Safar and was directed by Shahzad Kashmiri.

<i>Alif</i> (TV series) 2019 Pakistani television series

Alif is a 2019 Pakistani spiritual-romantic TV series created by Sana Shahnawaz and Samina Humayun Saeed under their newly formed production house Epic Entertainment. It was written by Umera Ahmad based on her novel of same name and directed by Haseeb Hassan. It starred Hamza Ali Abbasi, Sajal Aly, Kubra Khan and Ahsan Khan in leading roles.

<i>Khel Khel Mein</i> (2021 film) 2021 Pakistani film

Khel Khel Mein is a 2021 Pakistani historical drama film directed and written by Nabeel Qureshi and produced by Fizza Ali Meerza. It stars Sajal Aly and Bilal Abbas Khan. The story of the movie is related to the Liberation War of Bangladesh, the country which was formerly known as East Pakistan. The film was theatrically released on 19 November 2021. The film revolves around a drama club in a university taking its production based on 1971 war event to a drama festival in Dhaka.
