The Continental Cup 199899 was the second edition of the IIHF Continental Cup. The season started on September 18, 1998, and finished on December 29, 1998.

IIHF Continental Cup ice hockey competition

The Continental Cup is an ice hockey tournament for European clubs, begun in 1997 after the discontinuing of the European Cup. It was intended for teams from countries without representatives in the European Hockey League, with participating teams chosen by the countries' respective ice hockey associations. Hans Dobida served as chairman of the Continental Cup until 2018.

The tournament was won by HC Ambrì-Piotta, who won the final group.

HC Ambrì-Piotta

Hockey Club Ambrì-Piotta is a Swiss professional ice hockey club and a member of the National League (NL). The club was founded September 19, 1937 and is also known as "Bianco-Blu". Though they have never won the league championship, the club has not been relegated to the Swiss League since being promoted in 1985, the same year that saw the arrival of Dale McCourt.

Düsseldorfer EG ice hockey team

Düsseldorfer EG is a German professional ice hockey team in Düsseldorf. It was Germany's most successful hockey club for a long time and had many international players. The famous Eisstadion at the Brehmstrasse was the home venue for most of the team's history. The team now plays in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga ; the home venue is the ISS Dome.

Bílí Tygři Liberec are a professional ice hockey club based in Liberec, Czech Republic. The team competes in the Czech Extraliga, the highest level of play in professional Czech ice hockey.

EC Graz was an Austrian ice hockey team from Graz, Styria, playing in the Austrian Hockey League and Alpenliga in the 90s.
