The 6th annual Billboard Latin Music Awards which honor the most popular albums, songs, and performers in Latin music took place in Miami.
Marisela Hernandez, commonly known as Marisela, is a Mexican-American singer. In 1984, she recorded her first album at the age of 18, and continued to release albums into the 1990s. Her cover version of Barbara George's single "I Know ", titled "Ya No", peaked at number-one in the Billboard Latin Songs chart in 1990. As a child she starred in Villa Alegre.
The 4th Annual Latin Grammy Awards were held in Miami at the American Airlines Arena on Wednesday, September 3, 2003. It was the first time the telecast was held outside of Los Angeles. Juanes was the night's biggest winner winning a record five awards including Album of the Year. He tied his own record winning five awards again five years later in 2008. Juan Luis Guerra and Calle 13 also tied this record in 2007 and 2009 respectively.

It was co-produced by Santander and Emilio Estefan and was released as the fourth and final single by Sony Music Mexico from Me Estoy Enamorando in 1998. The song is a bolero-pop ballad with ranchera influences and portrays the singer confessing his love which he admits "goes beyond reason".
